How do you set the reference clip? Even Adobe has no info on their site on this. This has literally never worked for me as it just uses the same clip for reference which is useless to actually match from a completely different shot
@YAXHY5 ай бұрын
I was sure putting it both in a different sequence would work, but now comparison view only shows the right image, the left is empty...
@adobemadesimple5 ай бұрын
The reference clip should be the one preceeding the one you want to apply the match to - so in my example I wanted to apply the first clips color grade to the second clip so I have the video before it on the timeline - I dont think you can actually set a target clip as a reference just positioning it properly so it will work like in my video

I think there may be a problem with the video codecs or something, because it doesn't seem to work. It's a cool feature for a quick look, but also not really the best way to color footage, so I'm not mad about it, just wanted to try it a few times now and it has never worked, feedback on other videos also show it's working for some and for others it doesn't. @@adobemadesimple

my reference isnt showing , its just black and the current shows fine but im wanting to get the reference onto the left side of the comparasing view
@adobemadesimple7 ай бұрын
I cant explain why it wont show up - if theyre side by side like in my video it should be showing the reference video
@marvinmueller73545 ай бұрын
Move the blue dot underneath the "black" comparison image until you find your clip on the timeline and then you will be able to apply it :)

@@marvinmueller7354 YOUUUU!!!!!!! Everyone is talking about codec issues and what not and I refused to believe that and here you come with your simple answer that makes sense, you angel! Yes! That was the problem the whole time!!

Thank you for making these videos so short and simple. I'm sure you're getting paid less because of it, but you're amazing lol
@adobemadesimple2 ай бұрын
Yeah, the short style format of my videos does lower the RPM's considerably however because I provide real value my videos offset the lower RPMs by getting very high views in some cases so its not bad - Thank you for the comment! :)
