United would be on 25 titles and a few champions leagues by now. But Klopp is a scruffy bastard and suits Liverpool down to the ground. As an Arsenal fan, a huge respect this man who transformed Liverpool into a scary side, I say still unlucky he didn’t win 2/4 PL titles but had that charisma and philosophy to win anything. He’s as same level as Guardiola for me, let’s not make comparisons based upon who won what and how many.

this man is hard worker a great manager a great motivater and he has a kind heart even for rivals and critics even achieving and reaching to this high level he is still very humble i have not seen his ego and leaving now shows his care and respect for the club because he wants 100 percent which he thinks he cannot do from Mainz a team which he took from 3rd german league up to bundesliga and from there with dortmund he showed that even without big names u can reach finals of championsleague and play great football in european competetions Again with liverpool this man had limited budget compared to other top english teams but he made new stars he polished the raw stones into shining jewels

i read in fergusons biography that seeing jock stein collapse & later die while managing a football match scared him & that he decided he didnt want to continue too long in football in case the same happened to him. (he said it in a better way than that, but its the gist of what he said)

If I remember rightly, United didnt have a great season when Fergie first announced his retirement, and he didn't want to leave on a bad note (plus his wife's influence etc). But Klopp says he knew from November the team he had was in a good place so felt more comfortable leaving the club in a decent state.

It’s a pity nobody told him as the way Sir Alex and Manchester United announced the decision - pretty much all the players and Alex himself have said it was a bad way to do it. It resulted in a performance drop and a negative dressing room. So when it came to announcing the second and final time - the club waited until that could not be a factor, despite knowing months earlier.

Sir Alex announced his retirement in 2001 but changed his mind in 2002 when he discovered the Man Utd Board had intervirwed Sven Eriksen then England Manager and Martin O Neill then Celtic Manager and had decided to appoint Erikson, at 2002 World Cup in Japan England played Brazil and Brazil had a player sent off before half time but despite that Brazil won, Sir Alex wanted Martin O Neill appointed so he cancelled his retirement. Will Klopp change hos mind when he discovers who is replacing him ?
