Also for the record the previous poster Blake is right. Going off the movies/books, they did make a character inebriated from consumption of butter beer. Beer is generally synonymous with alcohol more often than not. Root beer was originally named Root Tea, then for marketing purposes changed to root beer.

Butterbeer from Harry Potter Land at Universal Studios Orlando changed my life. I'm obsessed with that stuff and I never even seen a Harry Potter movie lol. But after trying butter beer and getting hooked I watched all the movies with my niece and I totally get why kids like it. It's super fun and adventurous and just the right amount of scary for kids.

Wow you bringing up Harry Potter marathon brought me back to my childhood! Me and my siblings held a marathon in 2015(?) or 2014 and we watched almost every movie, it was so fun I wish I could do it all over again but my siblings are in their late 20s now and I’m barely graduating high school 🥲 Thank you for that nostalgia trip!

That's a good quick simple version, if you want to more realistic and traditional butter beer you can find the recipes all over Harry Potter websites

I don’t know if it’s because I live in the UK, but I looked everywhere for Butterscotch, I could only find the hard sweets/candy. But, it turns out it’s simply to make, it’s butter, brown sugar and heavy cream, I did a 1 table spoon of butter, 2 of sugar, and half a cup of cream, heated it up in the pan till it was incorporated. Then I followed this video with my home made butterscotch, then I was done.
