I learned something new today! Im one of the 15% that watches these videos in Canada! I figured being a canadian store the canadian viewers would be the majority of the viewers. Really enjoy watching each video on this channel. Im a year into the saltwater side of aquariums and absolutely love it, funny enough I went big instead of going home at started with a 400 gallon reef system!

I really enjoy when you talk about the store, the trials and tribulations of what it takes to have one. Coral education and conservation are important, I'm always happy to see it. But I know nothing about a coral store. That blank slate, with no personal intent to open one, really makes this interesting.

Love your vids March, and people who don’t understand what prices do for running a business, and mixing that with your personal costs… those people only think about themself and making profit … those people would order an employee around to unbox all those corals at night … that’s one of the reasons what makes you an wonderfull store owner and why people are drawn to this channel ! ( and the beautifull corals Offcourse :D )

Great video, I'm sitting here watching the whole thing. Your story about markup at 17:13 reminded me of my college days dealing with the bookstore (rip off) and I hate to say this about animals but used or a better term rehomed animals and goods in general. The bookstore would routinely add an easy 650+% markup on a used book that they paid students $10-$20 for when the student already paid $100 + for the book new. I get that it's easier to squeeze an extra $50 ($100 ain't bad) out of a lower cost item than it is to double the price of a $455 Coral ($900 would be crazy) without looking greedy. My point is, despite understanding it all, I always left the bookstore feeling like I got punched in the head because I knew they were going to sell my for possibly 10+x what they paid me. Junior and Senior year I just stopped selling books back, most of the books are still in my mother's basement in a trunk. That goes for second hand stores also.

Nice video! People really don't understand why things cost as much as they do or get marked up. Take lawn care for example.. people don't understand that having your lawn mowed once per week is a luxury. They ask why it costs so much to mow a lawn.. well as an owner you gotta pay for gas, wear and maintenance on mowers, time spent sharpening blades several times a week, truck & trailer repairs, equipment repairs, and you have to feed your family and pay bills.. and they wonder why it costs over $200 per month to mow one small yard. If anyone mows a lawn for $30 or less, they won't be in business for long.

Love the WYSIWYG system. Here's a suggestion though, if you move the number to the front of the name (instead of at the end), you can sort them by name and have them come up in a (reasonable) order instead of having to scroll though the whole list of corals looking for a specific number. Just my $0.02.
