I love these movies. I actually want to make a show with a stop-motion style animation like you based on this book series called "Five Nights at Freddy's: Fazbear Frights". Basically, it's a compilation of three short horror stories, plus a shorter one in each book called the "StichWraith Stingers"

Laika’s CEO doesn’t like sequels. He literally calls studios that make too many sequels (let’s say Pixar right now with there recently announced sequels) dead Studios. He literally calls them dead Studios. They’re literally dead in his eyes and Coraline is based off a book with no sequel. I’m pretty sure that Laika wouldn’t go against the wishes of Neil Gaiman and Henry Selleck.

This movie is amazing! It's perfectly terrifying, the scene transitions are done well and you can tell how much love went into it. I've always wondered though, how do you keep the clay from sticking/melding while working??
