Random story. My bestie absolutely loves gothic films and this is one of her favourites. So once when i was 6 ish years old she invited me around (she was the same age as me) and we were watching this film and at first i was like 'i dont understand this but it looks cool'. But. In the second half where things got real wEird i had to leave because i just got so scared and upset, and i got nightmares ages after that. So thanks for making coraline seem funny to cure that traumatic event.

Martin Kane she didn't change, Coraline's perspective of her changed. Coraline can't put her finger on what's different. In the beginning, her skin was already "as white as paper, she was taller and thinner, and her fingers were always moving" So Coraline just noticed the creepiness later.
