I was wondering if they accept forex/credit card on board? Or do we have to use cash everywhere? 2. Is the visa managed by Cordelia or should we get it by our end? 3. Regarding excursions based on your experience and interactions with other customers which ones would you suggest for hambantota and trincomalee? 4. How long did it take for you to disembark along with all the formalities in immigration ( the reason I'm asking this is coz i only have 4 hours between disembarking to flight boarding time)

Visa Requirements: Yes, a 30-day single-entry visa should be sufficient for your trip, as it covers the duration of your stay in Sri Lanka. Unfortunately, there isn't typically a shorter or cheaper visa option available for such trips. Additionally, Cordelia Cruises provides visas that are included in their all-inclusive package. In our case, we obtained the visa on our own, but afterward, they started including the visa in the package as an offer. We fought for and received a refund for the visa. 2. Passport Retention: It's common practice for the cruise line (Cordelia Cruises, in this case) to retain passengers' passports during the journey. This is primarily for administrative purposes and to manage immigration formalities more efficiently. The passports are usually collected by Cordelia's management at Chennai before departure. 3. Passport Return: Passports are typically returned to passengers by the cruise line (Cordelia management) upon the final disembarkation in Chennai. This ensures that all immigration processes are completed smoothly. You don't need to take an excursion package from the cruise. Instead, you can book your own ride and explore places on your own. Once you get outside the terminal, you'll find autos and taxis available. Just do a bit of research and talk to some local travel operators. Many fellow travelers on my trip did this, and it worked out well for them.

You get a card that you have to recharge and then spend. Recharge can be done from the reception on ship itself. Visa should be done by you only, when i travelled it was included in ticket so cruise company did for us.
