It’s sad because Samuel hesitated to shoot Connie, but didn’t hesitate with Armin because he knew he could regenerate. It’s unfortunate that in stopping Eren, they are considered traitors to their old comrades. Connie and Armin are now in the same shoes as Reiner and Berthold. That’s why Armin is looking so shocked/defeated because he see’s that they are the comrades being traitors.

Man we’re talking about the guy Sasha vertically scaled down a gd wall to save, and the guy the whole gang was willing to risk their own lives for, ready to go out in the dead of night during a blizzard to look for the guy. Jean was actually shown to have been pretty close to Daz season one. He bagged on him all the time during the Trost arc for being a crybaby but would still go back for him and yell at him to get it together whenever he tried to cop out and was lagging behind blubbering. Having to kill them both, especially when one of them was a life his dead best friend saved, must’ve felt like absolute shit for Connie. Main cast been thru it, thru it.

A parallel someone pointed out for further heartbreak: Connie to Bertholdt: Was everything just a lie? Didn’t we all talk about surviving together and going out for a drink when we grew older? Bert: Not everything was a lie. We really thought of you all as comrades! Samuel to Connie: Didn't we talk about taking our lands back and eating meat together? Weren’t we all supposed to be friends? Connie: We _are_ friends!! Ouch.

every time I rewatch the part with daz, armin and connie... I just tear up. I felt the pain. the Japanese voice actors dont get enough credit. that gutter scream that Connie's voice actor let out... ugh. finest writing, character development, ever in the history of any tv/movie or animated. I was so sad. Daz was saved by Ymir and Historia on that snowy mountain... he always been there with the scouts. the fact that the yagerists and our team are split. its just so tragic... smfh

I was wondering for a while about WHO the traitor was, but like you guys talked about, everyone on "our team" was considered traitors because they teamed with the Marleyans, but in a way both sides are considered traitors to each other. The dynamics of this show are top tier. I can't even imagine what Conny is going through after having to unalive two of his long time friends and now he has to live with it. 😢

For the tree shots in the last episode, when they mention Marco's words "we didn't even got the chance to talk this out" they showed the glade of light from above entering the dark forest. When Magath kept accusing them of being devils they showed dark sights of the forest, in contrast with the moment of Marco quote when they showed the patch of light bleeding into the forest. The way out of conflict should be thriving for mutual understanding.

The entire 4th season is a clash of morals. There are no right or wrong, all decisions have their price. When I watched the series for the first time, I was for the ideas of “our” guys, because Eren’s decision seemed monstrous, but now... It’s still monstrous, but when it comes to your home and your people, you can only thank God that this choice is not before us. Now I know that guys like Flock are the embodiment of patriotism. He is radical, but he fights on the side of his people and he does not care at what cost. In the end, I saw him as one of the most interesting characters, who grew more in a few episodes than Mikasa did in the entire series.

This show shows exactly the opposite, that there is right and wrong. Mass genocide even for your own people is wrong, Eldians knew it but obviously they wanted peace. Jean is the greatest example, trying to not let his consciousness think of how evil the genocide was in order to finally live a better life, but deep down he and everyone knows it's absolutely evil, not that "right and wrong don't exist"

Although Armin acted as her personal news podcast for four years, she went straight from slaughtering scouts in the forest of giant trees (and inside wall sina) to slaughtering Yaegerists at the port. She doesn't gaf and just wants to get home to dad. But that thing she does, twirling her victim by his ODM cable - SHE DID THAT AGAIN! Man, there's some HATE behind that move. I laughed though.

I've watched your reaction from day 1 (even watch some episodes twice) and i love how hype yall are, and you really do catch alot of things... but I would recommend after you finish the whole thing, give it 2 or 3 months then watch the whole thing again, you'll have a complete different experience when you watch it after knowing everything... i love AOT since the first watch, but the 2nd time is what made me love this anime so much, and i know everyone will agree and look forward to the reaction 😊

I just realized Kiyomi attacked Floch after she heard Armin is outside. Maybe she had an idea what will happen and which side are Mikasa and her closest mates on. Also, Levi had to watch Annie kill more scouts, in a different situation and stakes, but the irony.

The reason as to why Jaegerists suspected that the Scouts had teamed up with the Warriors is because Floch presumably told them. He already didn't trust Armin and co. to be 100% on-board with full rumbling hence why he imprisoned (they didn't kill them, unlike other military higher-ups, because they still view them as comrades) them in Season 4 episode 14. The part where Floch begins to suspect that 104th teamed up with Marley is during Season 4 episode 24 "pride" when Jean strangely misses all four shots that were supposed to be aimed at Onyonkopon's head and Cart titan suddenly appears to "eat" them while at the same time Mikasa has suddenly gone missing.

Another cool detail is that Floch surname is Förster, that means person of the forest (forester in English). Floch lives in the vengeance and past hate. He represents the perpetuity of the forest Mr Blouse wanted to end.

They likely knew our squad had sided with the Warriors when the cart scooped them up. Floch was asking "Where's is Mikasa?" as she wasn't with them all there. Then they probably looked around, noticed she was gone too, and maybe checked on the supplies and saw the wagon and a bunch of shit was gone. He also likely knew Hange and Levi escaped successfully when the ones who followed them down the river ended up missing. And he also knew the only way to catch up to and stop Eren at that point would be the Azumabitos at the port with the plane. As much as I hate him, Floch's a smart dude and a great soldier.

Now that you've mentioned about Sasha being the potato soup then I'd also like to note that Marco was also there being the fire wood used and cracking and ashes that was being blown is reference to when they burned the bodies of the fallen and then Jean caught one of those ashes. They Yelena stirred them up 😂😂😂 get it, stirred them up coz they were having a meal, with the fire/ashes and the potato and the killers with friends of those they killed. 😘 peak fiction.

Armin should have died in season 1 but Eren saved him, armin should have been killed by Annie in season 2. As an artist, i can say that people look to hard into the symblogy of this show. The point of symbology is that no words need to be said to get feels out of it and for each person the same symbol (like the Cross) means a whole lot of things for many. So the trees and the soup are strickly theatrics lol. Same as the birds, they just symbolize freedom, the Wing of Freedom emblem, ect. Eren is not Bran Stark.

I never hate any anime charcter more than annie yes it's easy for you to kill because you don't know them or you don't have any emotions whatsoever why it's always Paradise people killing eachother and not marleys friends killing eachother ?
