Is it normal for the range to be less than 180 degrees, around 160 or so? Is there a calibration process?

Some servos may have more or less range, check the data sheet of your servo model to see what it is, 160 sounds like a weird number though 🤔

Hi I'm trying to follow along but in Thornny I cannot find "Micropython servo" package. Any pointers?

Following code line by line and when I get to run, I get an error saying "no module named 'machine'". It is a requirement of micropython-servo .... what package or plug-in is it?

have you got micropython installed on your pico? if not, go to the bottom-right part of thonny and click "install micropython". go through the needful and whatnot, then the machine library should work!

@@Core-Electronics Hi, sorry. I'm an amateur model maker trying to get battleship turrets to turn and elevate and I've ended up in an electronic and programming nightmare😱😁 Thanks, I'll re watch it.👍

After my initial outburst (from my frustration rather than anything you had or hadn't done, once again my apologies) I have to say I found your coding, description and explanations very easy to follow and I now understand a heck of a lot more than I did yesterday. Thank you.👍 Could you do or have you done a follow up to this vid covering running two or more servos doing independent movements simultaneously? That would certainly be of great help. Thanks again.
