Some songs are so iconic and perfect in their original form that it’s almost impossible to imagine them being sung or performed differently. But I must say that Corey still sings great & this unplugged version is really really good.

Corey created such a beautiful song. He totally reinvented his own song and sang it in such a beautiful yet haunting way that really speaks to your soul.

Corey has one of those voices that only He can cover his own song with a different arrangement and people like it.I here some covers of this song but this one is almost haunting in some ways.its like an old soul calling out to a new generation.Very cool song and arrangement.

In 1986 this song was everywhere! My husband and I were expecting our 3rd son and couldn't agree on a name so he was Corey.

Amazing. I didn't expect him to cover his own song, but he's truly outdone all of the other cover versions out there. This is a much different song than the original, and I love it.

Haunting...an older man, still so cool, clouded by doubt and defensive yet vulnerable and pleading for his lover...the minor key notes on guitar and soft, broad overtones of Rob's synth, less the insistent pulsing of the original than the moody, atmospheric and slightly menacing tone of warning here. Deceiving or deceived - victim or protagonist - age serves this song so well, depth in what was at first blush a simple song about one's Wayfarers :) The edge and rasp of your voice hints at the desperation of the lyrics, now these years later the sound of a man to whom wounds have been inflicted all too repeatedly. Bravo team and Marc for capturing, again, an especially welcome glimpse of a remarkable artist at work and in a moment few see. A particularly meaningful gift for those who were not physically present in Ft. McMurray but who surrounded you in spirit, filling every last empty seat always :)

I grew up in his Era and I think everyone that has fallen in love knows exactly where his songs are coming from the HEART and they turned out to be some of the greatest songs ever love is a rare and beautiful thing some people don’t know if it could ever happen again:)
