Seeing Murphy reminds me of the afriend of my cousins who liv3d here in East but was from Murphy his son had his body transported back to Murphy to be buried beside his wife. They were much older than u Tipper but some of your older friends might know of them Howard and Helen Parker small world after all

Retirement is wonderful. I worked 40 years in banking, got a nice pension and retired 8 years ago. Matt’s right about the stress. 👍🏼 stay healthy!!

Nice job Corie and Matt. Mr. Pressley I’m truly happy you were able to retire early. It is unbelievable the relief of stress that simply fell away when I retired at age 63. I have not looked back. Prayers for Mrs. Wilson.

My husband is a contractor here in VA and we have always supported local businesses. That’s what keeps our community, our community. And now you have me looking for hawks!!! I live in Jamestown, yes, where it all began. The Jamestown-Yorktown parkway, which is federally protected is currently closed due to maintenance and repairs and I cannot wait for it to open. The hawks, the eagles, come join us!

Matt reminds me of my husband. He's a master carpenter just like Matt is. When something needs done around the house he does it. It doesn't matter what it is. I can't tell you the money we've saved from not having to pay subcontractors to power wash, paint, replace the hot water heater, replace the roof, the windows and you know the list goes on. Looks like he and Corie had a productive day. Love the outtakes and l love yall❤

Precious times, getting to spend a day doing ANYTHING with Daddy ( I used to love going to our local hardware store with mine.)! When I was little my dad would take me with him (to Sears) to "look at tools". He always came home with yet another wrench or screwdriver. Before we left the store, dad would stop at the candy counter for a bag of (warm) cashews, orange slices, and circus peanuts. When my husband and I did our monthly Costco shopping haul, we would buy an all beef hotdog for our lunch. YES! They ARE good! Dessert was Costco's Yogurt Swirl. So glad Matt is enjoying his freedom.

Beautiful scenery. These are precious times for you be able to share with your dad making wonderful memories that you won’t be able to fully appreciate until he’s no longer with you. My dad went to heaven 27 yrs. ago and I miss him so much. Seeing you with your dad reminded me of the wonderful times I shared with my dad.

The golden rod is beautiful! My mother in-law picked a bunch of it after it had gone to seed was fluffy feathery,sprayed it silver and put in a vase in big bouquet. Was pretty,and would make a nice decoration for Christmas,sprayed silver or gold,then other pretties with it colored balls,ribbon. Matt is a man that knows what he wants! And needs! So sweet and so good to help Granny at her place means a lot!! She can trust, know everything is done right and taken care of,ease her mind!

My late husband George loved hardware stores & I mean he could stay hours! Shopping with someone you love is so simple but it’s big time making memories. If I had one more day with my beloved it would be just fine in a hardware store!

Corie you sure are your fathers daughter! You two together look like brother and sister, and Corie I am not saying you look older it’s just Matt looks younger and happier not having to follow a schedule and report for duty by a clock. We bought most all our building materials from Murphy building supply to build our first house in Hiwassee Dam that was in 84-86 good people to buy from 😊 This video brought back good memories thanks.

Anticipating the upcoming building project. Similar to Matt, I find pleasure in wandering through supply stores, admiring items, and indulging in hotdogs. I'm retired from the Army as well, though I still dabble in work to stay occupied. However, spending quality time with my family remains my top priority...especially my son.

Nice father daughter time. Yes, your roads are curvy down there. We visited the Smoky Mountains this past summer, so got to experience curvy mountain roads -- it's beautiful there. I agree, it's to early for Christmas decorations to be put out for sale. I think it's wonderful when people have skills in plumbing, electrical, and construction to build, fix, and repair at their homes. They are important skills to have.

And maybe it's overkill on my part, but if you have some way to blur the license plate on your vehicle in your posts before putting them up, I think it would be better and safer. Or maybe when filming, have someone stand in front of the plate so it can't be seen.
