Whenever we face a major decision in life, it’s important to discern God’s will on the matter. What is God’s will for where I live? Who I marry? What career path I take? The questions are endless. And God has a perfect will for your life. But even if you don’t hit the “bullseye” and discern His “perfect” will, there is still grace for God’s children. He will redirect your path to move you in step with His will as you humbly seek Him. In today’s study, Pastor Gary shares 5 principles for discerning God’s will.
00:00 - What is God’s Will for my Life?
03:13 - Bullseye illustration for God's will
04:51 - God's good, acceptable and perfect will
17:35 - Discerning God's Will
17:38 - 1) A Consecrated life (Rom. 12:1)
22:50 - 2) A Renewed Mind (Rom. 12:2)
29:12 - 3) The Counsel of God's Word (Ps. 119:105, Josh. 1:8)
29:56 - 4) The Comfort of God's Peace (Col. 3:15)
31:22 - 5) The Confirmation of God's People (Prov. 11:14)

I just listened to this, as I'm driving the moving van 1800 miles across 8 states to take a job in city, in a state I've never been to and where I know nobody, taking about 1/2 the pay. I sold my home of 17 years and said goodbye to the kids. Why? Because I decided to trust the lord instead of myself. I stopped trying to look for what I thought would be the right job and instead I asked where should I go? Once he pointed out where I was supposed to go, then I started looking around for a job, and there was only one good one. I got it, and after over 9 months of wondering what's wrong in my life, I'm off on a new adventure. I have to trust that He knows best and it is all for the right reason. My job is to obey, and to follow through. 👃 I'm not perfect, but I'm not going to stop moving in the right direction.

Those who do and stay in God's will are secured and satisfied. Those who don't and follow their worldly ideologies never are then goes to complain and blame the system. Marriage and the job one is spot on. Nowadays it's "I want easy and big money/promotion in a workplace with no problems and a marriage that I don't wanna work on when things get tough."

To understand God’s will, it has to start with the renew of the believer’s mind base on this passage. In other passage, God’s will is to pray without seize, rejoice always, and give thanks in all circumstances. God’s will is found in the Bible. It is not about who we should marry or where we should work or move but it is for believers to have an upward focus on what is in God’s heart.

Yes, God’s will is laid out clearly The Bible. He is more interested in the condition of ours hearts than the comforts of our lifestyles. We should ask God to help us make wise decisions based on what we know of His revealed will in the scriptures. He gives us the responsibility to make decisions that please Him.

Powerful and what God said. Separation is different from divorce. We have to obey what God 's Word says and believe he means it for are best when it comes to remarriage that is permitted in his eyes. No never stay in an abusive relationship. Widowhood is hard too, but God is with me. Prayers for those having to make big job decisions. God bless you for preaching The Word and leaving it with us to choose to obey or live in sin.

Listening again this Monday! Tried 4 times yest. Was taking notes. I have a question! I believe God has given me a job. Being a prayer warrior. That is something I am able to do. In keeping with praying the will of God. Which I do! But how do I know how to pray, for His will. Praying for healing, for all kinds, but how do I know what to pray. I want His will and I want my will. Or others will! How are we to pray. I ask Jesus to correct my prayers, to the Father. Thank you for this sermon. Had a problem hearing the entire sermon yest. So listen again today.

My Daughter just got divorced and it was the best decision she maid. If she didn’t she would’ve stayed in misery. I believe God is our father. He loves us. And wants best for us. Some covenants were broken in the Bible by chosen people. The Ten Commandments is a covenant we all break them it’s life. What God is judging is our hearts and motives. I’m thankful that my daughter didn’t have kids with him. God loves Us no matter what. I believe God will turn this for good! Thank you for your sermon they’re always good! God bless!

To understand God's heart, we must marry and have children so we can experience all levels of God's heart and love. The family is the ONLY place were we experience the greatest happiness and deepest love. Single people can never understand God's love without having their own family. That is why homosexual goes against God's will.

This has nothing to do with God's will. Everybody thinks if I like it and it was a good decision it was God's will, if not I messed up and am outside His will. Sin puts you outside His will, so work on that. His will for us is described in 1 Thes 4.3, our sanctification, by which you inherit the kingdom per Acts 20.32/26.18. Being counted as worthy to enter the kingdom/Millennium is His will. Romans 12.1/2 tells us how, by the renewing of our mind/soul salvation in order to prove/realize/vindicate His investment in us at the JSOC.

@cynthiaharding5378

NO! That is one exception! 😢 look in the comments here, there's their phone number...call them and ask to speak to a Pastor, it might not be Pastor Gary but all their Pastor's are great! Look for a place that will take you in to live for abused women. Please DO NOT go back to that person after you leave, that's the time that will be the most dangerous time. Praying 🙏 for you 🙏
@cynthiaharding5378
@cynthiaharding5378 27 күн бұрын
Also that person will beg you to go back to them! They will tell you that they love you...but if take was the case, they would have never abused you to begin with. They will tell you that they will change but that rarely happens!
@jaimemcmahan6273
@jaimemcmahan6273 27 күн бұрын
It says if the person is not a believer and abandons you… abusers aren’t really walking in the faith- not sure they are really true followers of Jesus if they are abusing - abuse also seems like unfaithfulness as he mentions the word making that exception as well. How to clearly define those instances is not spelled out in the Word but seems like there’s exceptions that would be under the umbrella of abuse that would be my human assumption based on who I believe and understand God to be. I’d recommend anyone pondering that for personal reasons to seek good Christian council and support and not assume that that was what Gary or the Word says here as that’s not what I understand it to be

Absolutely not! My 11yo daughter and I prayed consistently for about a year that God make a way for us to leave if it is his will. He made the way so clearly it was like a travel itinerary! We moved from the E coast to the W coast, while he was at work. NEVER let on your leaving. Leaving is the most dangerous time.Just go along as usual then go quick. NEVER go anywhere he can find 34:25 you. NEVER tell people your going or where your going . Including small children, my son was 6. I didn't tell him until we're on our way to the airport, make it a fun time for them. Of course you tell a few close family and YOUR closest friends. My children and I were so abused we had to dissappear. He never found us. I live in a small town, so our local Womens Chris center moves our local victims far from here to keep them safe. Then they take victims from out of state or far from here. Get in touch with your local Womens Chrisis place. Remember, don't threaten to leave or anything, just go. One thing, be 💯 % sure your done and are not going back. Our escape was the best decision I ever made for my kids and I 😊 🙏 Praying for your safety and for God to lead you according to his will . ✝️ 🙏

God doesn't want you hurt. It's Biblical to separate. If the abuser doesn't repent and utterly change, then the abuser has abandoned the marriage and clearly they're unbelievers. That how my pastor explained it and helped me.
