The Toyota Corolla 9th Generation featured an updated design language, a new series of engines and slightly larger exterior dimensions. The 9th Generation Toyota Corolla was available in 6 variants XLi, GLi, 2.0D, 2.0D Saloon, SE Saloon and Altis 1.8. Production of the Toyota Corolla 2002 lasted for eight years. The Toyota Corolla was available to purchase during the years 2002, 2003, 2004, 2005, 2006, 2007 and the year 2008. The best thing about these cars is there durability, functionality and AC, we have 1.8 auto 2006 Altis. It's Air-conditioning is really chilling and superior, even better than the new 0 meter Corolla which we had in 2016-19. Even in 1.8 fully loaded Altis auto, there is a ECT option, which is same as the new grande Sports Mode. Plus 1.8 auto 2006 coming with zigzag gear, it's drive and feel is really heavy, comfortable and luxury!!! Also Auto Altis breaks are much better, and the sound system is awesome having 6 inbuilt speakers along tweeters, company fog lamps, Toyota rims, Etc...

I have a 2002 SE Saloon. It's done around 300000 km and surprisingly still very powerful, the best part is it's AC which beats the latest Corolla air conditioner easily. I drive it daily to work and its solid as ever, no squeaks or rattles. I love it

Two corrections: SE Saloon came without ABS which was introduced with the Altis. Diesel engines continued till the next generation of corolla. This was not the last gen in diesel. The biggest problem with pre altis models was poor brakes and my brother faced it with his zero meter corolla then. The only way to resolve it was fat tires.

My dad bought this car in Feb, 2008 cvvti automatic 1.8 altis and still my dad loves this car he loves to drive this car then his other cars(grande,wagonr,nissan wind road, prius) and the car is genuine and it is tuned always by Toyota👍nic car

sir, suzuki baleno 2005 ka review kr de budget series main .. yeh gari 5.5 to 6 ki range main outclass condition main mil jaty ha ...best family sedan car ..low budget with full option..bohat achi fuel average ha .12 to 13 in city and 15 to16 on long. cng py 2 sy 3 ka farak pr jata ha..honad or corolla ka substitute ha. maintenance cost is very low almost 3k for oil filter ,air filter and engine oil.

Sorry suneel bhai there are a lot of corrections to be made. 1) 2.0D was available even in the next generation (10 gen E140, E150) of Corolla in Pakistan. 2) Xli and Altis were completely different except the body shape. 3) Interior Quality was different (Xli was light Plastic while Altis was dense and hard) plus the doors were so much heavy on Altis and minor parts such as locks and everything were so much different in feel. 4) Brakes were different, Suspensions and Shock Absorbents were different. 5) Ride height was different due to different engine weights. To me Xli/Gli always been the most pathetic Corolla no matter how much they improve the quality but you'll never find Corolla having engine lower than 105 HP while xli/gli is 85 HP which is a shame. Plus the engine is so much light than the standard corolla engines used in other countries that it mess up the whole stability of the car. Xli/Gli wobbles on highway while the 1.5, 1.6 and 1.8 doesn't. Due to low weight xli has the most dangerous brakes in any car found in Pakistan, they slip like hell and from my research only the engine weight is to be blamed for that because the tire size is wide and engine weight is low so lower force per unit area which reduces grip. While wide tires will further degrade the brakes. I have used Xli 2006, 2010 and SE saloon 2003. This is what I know about these cars.

Plus the SE Saloon you’re showing has an aftermarket front bumper which was used to be in the USDM corollas. The local ones had the same bumper for all except for the foglights

Very nice video. Thanks for putting hard work, but Few Corrections: 1) March - 2003 was launch of this shape 2) In start there were 2.0D and 2.0D Saloon were also launched 3) Picture shown at 7:03 is of next generation, while speaking of 2.0D 4) Altis 2007 had different chrome front grill 5) Altis had different wheel size than SE-Saloon and speedo meter was not calibrated, that was one fault 6) It was first Corolla to hold Altis badge in Pakistan 7) 2.0D was last offered in generation after this.

Brakes were good road grip wasnt. Roadgrip was improved in 2006 and onward by introducing ABS in Altis and tweaking the regular variants. I had both 2004 se saloon with 4 wheel disc brake and 2006 xli with 2 wheel disc, still xli didnt slip as much as se saloon maybe due to suspension. Altis has good brakes because it was abs. Mehran ki to 2 baar brake marne ke baad paddle hard ho jata ha

@@usama6987 bro i am telling you my dad have this car and i maintain it its gli 1.3 and sure it is very good on bumpy roads but not on highway the suspension is soft and it wobbles on road like a whale in water but i have civic and i can do sharp corners civic has 50% less body rool and stiff suspension which gives better grip on highway and better fuel economy
