Thanks to Tracey for her information. I can see the logic in what Coronado has done seeing as it is a convention hotel. I thought the Pop room looked pretty nice. I'm sure you are all right in thinking there will be a premium for staying at a skyliner resort.

I just got back from staying at Coronado Springs (preferred room in Casitas) and we were in a renovated room that had the dispensers for shampoo, conditioner, and body wash. It wasn't an issue. It was actually very convenient. I loved the renovations.

This past summer we stayed at Coronado Springs. It was one of the resorts I have always wanted to stay at and I was disappointed. It had nothing to do with the construction which we were close to. The place just did not wow me at all. The pool was the only thing that lived up to expectations.

I like the new rooms. Very modern and clean. You can still bring the Disney magic in the room. By bringing some own stuff.

We just got back from a three night stay at Coronado springs. We were in a preferred room that was updated(a pleasant surprise cause I booked standard.) we loved the rooms! We had 2 queens and it was extremely spacious with great storage, beds were comfy, and loved the tv and Keurig. Admittedly the Disney theming isn’t great, but we ended the trip with a night at animal kingdom lodge(which we also loved) and found we preferred the rooms at Coronado. It’s hard going from the sliding bathroom door to dancing around the more traditional set up. Also we had the dispensers, which I like because you get body wash along with shampoo and conditioner. But we also got All the amenities Tracey got in her room.

Thanks for this post! For me when I travel, I almost never use closet space except to put luggage. I have only once used it, and it was my last trip to hang something since I was on a business trip. Between my one thing, and my friends few things, they would have easily fit in what is now offered as the new Disney closet. For traveling with families, more drawer space is wonderful. Young kids can reach and manage their own, and usually they do not have clothes that need to be hung up or ironed. And since everyone in the family may need a drawer (or more) the more drawer space is helpful. I can see how if you actively use a closet how it the smaller space would be a downsize.

I just stayed in a renovated room at Pop Century this weekend. They have moved to shared pumps of H2O+ Shampoo, Conditioner, & Body Wash adhered to the shower wall. They only had one fresh bar of soap that is replaced per stay on the sink. I requested individual toiletries since I am not a fan of sharing toiletries. They said they had a limited stock of individual toiletries for now and delivered 2 Shampoos & 2 Conditioners to our room. They are also renovating the Bowling Pin Pool around the 50's buildings.

We stayed at Coronado during Princess Half Marathon. and they had the dispensers in the shower. it had shampoo, conditioner, and body wash. it was a tub with awesome shower heads

I love the renovated rooms and the small Disney touches. Most Disney rooms look incredibly outdated, especially for the price. The new rooms are much classier and I think there's still a place for overly themed rooms, like the suites at Art of Animation.

I would love to see a handicapped accessible room at Coronado Springs and Pop Century.

We were lucky to get an upgrade during our last visit to Coronado Springs this last December. Guys, that anyone would complain about how the rooms were before the renovation -- that makes no sense to me. Those carpets were NASTY. The credenza took up a ton of room. And, while the "hanging area" for clothes was inarguably larger, the fact that suitcases can now be stored UNDER the beds is a welcome trade-off. The shower is great -- I think these are called waterfall showers? Finally, theming-wise -- the loss of the "Disney touches" -- there are people who are still salty about Mr. Toad. I mean, let it go.

I stayed in Pop a couple months ago. It was plenty clean but very run down.

Go big or go home. Nice to see Disney updating technology like adding chargers and large flat screen TVs. With the way TV prices are dropping and people have these size tv's in their homes, it makes sense they go big on the tv.

The Murphy bed at Pop Century is better than the Murphy bed at Art of Animation. More comfortable more sturdier and I felt slightly larger

Stripped down= less bed bugs. Less places for them to hide and have babies...

You can have cleanliness and theming and functionality. Disney seems to only do one or the other. While I don't dislike the rooms, I don't like them either.

Was really surprised Kevin thought the Pop room looked more "Disney" because it had 1 more picture than the other. And that Pluto picture is only visible when the bed is down. We just stayed at Pop and really didn't like it. Maybe if we had the hideaway bed down, it would have helped with the "feel" but we didn't need it, so we just had the 1 Mickey picture up and it felt like we might as well have been staying off property. So many places where they could have added little touches. For example, the coat hangers. Get some with Mickey ears on them instead of plain circles. Or the curtains. They had little orange circles all over them. Why didn't they have little hidden Mickeys in them? It just seemed like Disney by Ikea to me.

I stayed here and they didn’t give us shampoo or conditioner. We had to use those nasty communal ones and every day we asked for the individuals and they never gave them to us

Just left Coronado Springs in non refurbished room...was downgraded due to “ Maintenance issue”. Room was very dated, tv did not work entire stay, very hot in the room ( could only get temp down to 70 degrees). .... And as part of the downgrade, moved about. mile from center checkin and restaurants. I feel very sorry for anyone who ends up in one of these rooms. If this is Moderate, I would hate to see value resort room. :(

There are dispensers in the shower at Coronado. I was just there last weeks. And the dispensers are gross

Great job, Tracey, and guys, thanx! I like some of the touches in the redone rooms, and I'll admit, they do look larger, but I'm with Kevin - they look bleak. And c''mon - DIsney Imaginears create all SORTS of fantastical things that below my mind - they can't create form AND function? Theming AND good use of space? I don't believe it!

I really don't like the new look of the Coronado rooms. One of the reasons for me to stay on property is the theming. I think these renovated rooms are great but not for a Disney resort.

I like your hat Tracey! On the flip side I am disappointed that it wasn't a repeat of Caribbean Beach, I mean, as far as my amusement, not for what you had to deal with! ;)
