The weird thing is, the actress who played Blanche (Maggie Jones) actually never found her character to be funny - Blanche is defo a corrie classic and her witty remarks and aserbic tongue were the best

LOL Blanche was a one-off. One of the greatest soap characters ever. EastEnders' closest to Blanche were Lou Beale and at times Peggy Mitchell, but neither were as funny as this! :D
