Why is David trying to compare him and Max to this? Kylie never cheated on him and got pregnant with Max, who was fathered by someone else. Why can't Sarah's family stop trying to downplay her actions already? If Adam had cheated, they wouldn't be defending him at all. 🙄

It isnt about who the dad is, or even about forgiveness. It is all about trust. If someone breaks your trust repeatedly, do you know how much anxiety you inject into their life during the rebuilding of trust. It can put years on a person. When you ask someone to rebuild trust in you, you are asking them to do all the actual internal work to repair your relationship, and it is really unfair on them, besides the initial betrayal. You are asking them to make a choice between the added stress of working on it or the added stress of untangling your lives together - both can negatively hurt someones mental health. After trust is broken, you are doubling the pain by insisting on a quick resolution. If you have any chance of being forgiven, the respectful way to do it is to give them heaps of time.
