The end of an era... RIP Bryan Mosley. As Alf Roberts he was right up there as one of the Corrie greats.

Always loved Alf especially him and Rennie. A great actor has gone a couple of decades now but never forgotten.

Due to Fred Elliotts sonic booming voice, surely a lot of these characters were able to put in claims for industrial deafness.

Then when she took Kevin back coz thats what she wanted it didn't take long for Greg Kelly to turn her head & back to her old tricks again this time putting her kids in danger, now Kevin has found some happiness with Alison Sally doesn't like it, the girls can't go on holiday coz she's jealous. Natalie was an underrated character, and being fair, as much as I loved Jack and Vera, she was very fair in giving them time to sort themselves out, trying to keep them on the payroll. They had some money (a fair 30k) from when they sold the other half of the Rovers to Alec.

Hard to believe someone as straight forward as Alf would have let the insurance expire. OK he was doing it year by year but I believe he would have renewed it before expiry every year. He wasn't a foolish man. Even if he renewed it on Jan 1 every year I still doubt he would have risked a few hours uninsured. He would have had the call made on 31 December.

I love how Gay-yul descends into incensed bhict mode just because Roy talked shop a day or two after Alf died. I think she reacted that way because it dawned on her her apathy toward the business was coming to its full fruition, with Roy moving on and Gay-yul exiting the business - which involved screaming her head off at Alma or somebody every other day for 15 years.

Kevin seems to be attracted to subservient women! Although Natalie was much more of a dominant woman & in control of her life, she was alot older than Kevin This initially attracted him but cracks soon appeared in their relationship with his loss of control! Sally was originally much more subservient & inclined to bow to Kevins instruction & he was happy being in control. Once Sally discovered her worth & was appreciated for her business brain & work ethic, it did NOT suit kev. This new girl, Alison is shy & subservient which boosts Kevs Male ego & brings out his control & manipulation. I also hate the fact he omits to own up that it was himself who caused the great rift in his & Sallys marriage by his affair with Natalie All he does is blame Sally for their brake up, her going off with Chris while he was still with Natalie, which was so ultra hypocritical! Then when Sally is attracted to Greg Kelly & tries the partnership it was Kevs ego that was bruised! He couldnt care a fig about his girls when he had Natalie! Now hes denying access to Sally in seeing their girls & its his spoiled pampered ego thats doing this! Hes got Alison thinking it was all Sallys fault, he wants a divorce to punish her! Kevin is a hypocrite , as is his annoying wife Sally. Anyone who watched their introductions would wonder what happened to them. I am not sure if they became horrible through the experiences of life or they are a product of the desire we have to watch appalling human behaviour unfolding on tv. This began in the soaps rating wars of the late 90's. Jean Alexander -Hilda Ogden, probably the best Corrie character ever, foresaw this when she left in 1987.
