Wow Janice and Sally really did have personality transplants in the 2000s. It's so weird to see them linking arms and been so nice to each other when later on they hate each other and Janice always shouting at her and calling her stuck up. Which I agree with Sally did become stuck up and snobby and looked down her nose at everyone. Weird writers. I liked the Janice and Sally friendship here.

17:51 - Why don't they simply move the phone into the living room? Saving Jim the frustration of trying to get through a narrow door every time it rings? When Elsie Tanner lived at no. 11 the telephone stood on the sideboard, in the living room, and it was still there when Alf Roberts had his heart attack on the living room floor only a year or two before the MacDonalds moved in.

they generally do this to characters they want to get rid of, or have decided to leave. i think she went to heartbeat after this. but this, this was utterly, utterly, ridiculous. the spiral of stupidity of everyone believing every word she said, is beyond belief. they must have been desperate to off-load her because this all felt rushed and slapdash, but then an awful lot of storylines feel like that lately.

@@gilliangrant8764 The thing is, Kevin wasn't a pillock from the start. At the start he was a sweet, likeable, unsophisticated bloke who adored his wife and kids. Then the producers turned him into a pillock when they decided he was too thick to resist Natalie while Sally was away caring for her mum. Then they gave him a talent for lying that the original Kevin just didn't have.

oh my god, who's coming up with these storylines? tawdry, frustrating, annoying. it's like a formula they use. come up with a silly plot like des and samantha, and once that's be drained of what little emotional drivel it contained, it then does the rounds of the street; the kabin, the cafe, the pub, the mini-market. and then when it's hung out to dry, it's compound by another layer of stupidity. not only that, they then shovel a load of les battersby on the top. i get the impression about half the writers are on the edge of a mental breakdown, with the other half misogynists. and then, just when you're breathing a sigh of relief, judy's boss turns up at the counselling meeting. why? why have we now got to go through another tawdry, depressing spectacle. all of which are, as usual, manipulated by mean, spiteful women. jeez, i'm going back to 1980 folks. see you in few weeks😕

With regard to Alec said from 5:47:27 to 5:47:30 Before about 1930 nobody ever had a telly for hundreds of years. Nowadays nobody would be without one. Today if a telly breaks down folk think it is the end of the world. Before 1968 the BBC never repeated soap because they thought it would encourage people to watch too much telly. It went on into the early 1970 people with that attitude. Before 1970 the people who had no television had not reach 40 yet. Therefor In the 1960's a lot of people were saying the young are lucky. We had no television.

At 2:11:23 Sally is right. Programme times of Coronation Street and Emmerdale go up the creek because of football. Also things stop because of Rugby and horse racing. At the point 3:05:18 the vehicle has an out-of-date tax disc on dated September 1997 in June 1998. If the vehicle had wheels Les would be had up.

From 5:55:27 TO 5:55:36 That was very cowardly of Sandy in the black Fred perry to push Jim out of the pub by the wheelchair handles. What a Pratt. People who are wheelchair bound cannot defend themselves properly. Perhaps Jim did behave ungentlemanly to Vera, but Sandy in the black tee-shirt could have given Jim an ultimatum and by telling Jim to apologise to Vera or leave.

At 4:27:51 I know why Gail will not do it. It is because she feels she would be betraying her son and Brian's memory. The fact that Gail was not a very good wife to Brian would be immaterial. In the first place Leanne was being dim. She should have known that Gail would back up her son. Still could have been worse. Gail might have said Wheatley should have been hung.

Emily is a bit like Celia in Home and Away played by Fiona Spence. Emily always calls her nephew Jeffrey and Curly Watts Norman and never Curly. Fiona Spence also played Vera Bennett in Prisoner: Cell Block H. Celia Stewart was a stickler for correct names. She always called Alf Stewart Alfred in Home and Away and Steve Matheson played by Adam Willits Stephen. Apparently Norris was annoying enough to bring out the Vera Bennett (vinegar tits) in Emily Bishop.

I once said Alec Gilroy was like Gail. Now I think about it I was doing Alec Gilroy and injustice. I know Alec Gilroy is strict, but he is fair. I believe Alec Gilroy is nicer Than Gail.

Between 4:44:18 and 4:44:40 Leanne does have a point. Darren Whaitley could be gunning for Leanne and Nick when he gets out. Darren won't be in Prison forever.
