In 2016, when i was 22, before i got the diagnosis of MS, the hospital made a mistake and told me my LP was negative… meaning no MS but MND insisted. That was scary.

I wish Paul could just tell everyone the truth. I know it would be hard for all of them but it's the right thing to do. But i think there's a chance that they will find out after the wedding. But i don't want to to ruin Chesney and Gemma's special day. But they and Billy has the right to know.

I get that Paul has to tell his family and friends about his MND diagnosis, which he has done, but only when he feels he's ready and at a time that's right for him, not for anybody else.

Ever since Paul's road accident, he's had problems using his right hand and has been unable to continue his work as a builder. When Billy and Gemma heard about what happened, they advised him to sue Carla for negligence and for loss of earnings and having spoken to Dee-Dee about it, she advised him to do the same thing. In the midst of all that, Paul promised to help with Gemma and Chesney's wedding (after Chesney spent the wedding fund on his fast food enterprise) and also took out a loan to help them with their household bills. With Paul's hand showing no sign of improvement, he was referred to a neurologist, who informed him that the issues with his hand weren't related to the crash and may be more serious thereby making his claim against Carla void and leaving him thousands of pounds in debt. To soften the blow Paul was able to find work as a filing clerk and as a kitchen porter. Having carried out multiple scans of the injuries to Paul's hand, the neurologist informed him he may be suffering from limb onset motor neurone disease and that he may have three years or less to live if diagnosed as there's currently no cure. As his money problems continued, he ended up approaching Damon in his hour need.
