My theory after dealing with Richard, she was suffering from trauma of nearly losing her family. So she thought was trying to protect them only to realize she was alienating them ie. screwing with Nick's job offer in London just to have him around.

Because she was losing control and couldn't stand it. I would imagine Gail is nicer now because she's learned the hard way that interfering and trying to control your kids lives will drive them further away rather than give her back control.

Reporting Sarah to Social Services I can understand cause that what you should do if you think a child is in danger but lying to them about Sarah and Todd leaving Bethany on her own that's when Gail crossed a line.

I can understand whey Sarah wouldn't want Bethany living with Gail.....after what her marriage to Richard Hillman put them all through just months earlier I'm not sure I would either! It was a horrible betrayal. Gail was out of order calling social serviced on her own daughter. Thats just cruel.

Ok maybe Sarah didn't make the best choice moving out so young. But she was still old enough to make her own mind and old enough to take care of her daughter. Gail was wrong to call social services and it a cruel thing to do. It same thing with Nick when she said leanne was no good for him or Kylie was no good for David. She needs to learn to accept that her are adults.
