Thanks mate. I get why Coronation Street doesn't get as much credit as other soaps when it comes to hardmen since they have the weakest hardmen overall but they still have some good, solid hardmen and the top 3 in this list would beat most soap hardmen in a 1 on 1 fight. Jim McDonald and Nathan Harding would both easily make the top 10 in any other soap, even EastEnders in my opinion. Yeah that part was hilarious lol, that episode came out somewhere in the 60's so it was bound to be ridiculous. The fight choreography wasn't bad at all for it's time though to be fair. Yeah I will be doing all of those soaps then I'll do an overall soap list.

That’s a great point, I’d still put my money on Nathan because he could do serious damage when he was pushed too far. He hospitalised his best friend Ashley with one punch so he would definitely hurt Jim if he was angry with him, but Jim wouldn’t make it easy.

@@H.K.5 Would make for an interesting bet. Jim's psycho value (as shown vs Jez Quigley and Vernon) vs Nathan's calculated fighting skills and footwork. Nathan liked double/triple jabs to the ribs to show them who was boss without harming the face (except for Ashley). Jim just lost it.

@@SJAEDM True, I guess it depends on how angry Nathan is and how badly he wants Jim hurt. I’d put my money on the Nathan who knocked out Ashley and dropped Danny Baldwin but a fight between him and Jim could easily go either way.

Ashley was actually underrated, he won all of his fights except for when he got knocked out by Nathan Harding who was probably top 3 of all time

@H.K Peter has beaten Nick in every single confrontation they've had except when Nick punched in the back of the head at the Nativity. What makes you think Nick could beat him?

@@stevedavidson5038 Nick's shown more fighting skill than Peter when you look at both of their fight scenes. Peter isn't really a skilled fighter, all he has is a good punch and a lot of physical strength. In a proper fight, I think Nick would be able to beat him and Gary.

@H.K I guess you could make that argument for their fight in the bookies but how can you say Nick looked more skilled in the Christmas fight? His only 'skill' was gaining momentum by sprinting across the street and shoving into Peter, which he did three times. Both of the times when he dropped Peter he was attacking him from behind and the one time he shoved Peter head on he just laughed at him. I don't think Nick is really that skilled of a fighter, admittedly he looked good against David in the woods but I haven't really seen anything outside of that and David is a rubbish fighter. Plus you could also make the same argument for Peter, as he looked pretty skilled throwing out that guy in Rovers a few years ago.

@@stevedavidson5038 I meant Nick's looked more skilled than Peter in general, not in the fights they had with each other. They've both dropped each other more than once although Peter's had more knockdowns. I do agree that David is an awful fighter but what Nick did to him is more impressive than anything I've seen from Peter which is why I ranked Nick higher since I think he'd be able to best Peter in a proper fight. Plus I don't think that guy in the Rovers was trying to fight Peter.

@@thomascowen8833 It's possible that Phelan underestimated Luke's toughness too. I don't think he expected Luke to tackle him to the ground right after hitting him over the head with a rock.

He's overrated. He's a decent hardman but he wouldn't beat anyone in this list.

Nick and Peter have both dropped each other more than once to be fair, and I think Nick is far more skilled than Peter although not as strong physically. Gary's an honourable mention but I don't think he's done enough to put him in the top 10.

@@H.K.5 Far as I’m aware Peter pretty much won every altercation they had apart from the one in the bookies which was a draw. I think pre 2012 Peter would wipe the floor with Nick easily but 2013 til now I think it’s a closer fight with Peter just edging it. I would put Gary in the top 10 I think he’s probably one of the most technically skilled fighters in the show I’d put him above Nick and Len

@@Pubhooligan74 Peter only won two altercations. Nick won the one in the bookies since he dropped Peter, and Peter had to attack him from behind afterwards. Their altercation on Christmas was a draw since they both dropped each other. If they ever had a proper 1 on 1, I think Nick would beat Peter. Haven't seen anything that impressive from Gary as far as skill or fighting ability goes. He was in the army and has a good punch but that's about it. Phelan ragdolled him with ease everytime they fought and Rick managed to overpower him in the forest. He also got thrown around by Joe McIntyre a few times and Joe wasn't even hard.

@@H.K.5 They had a few altercations before where Peter won when he through him out the rovers and floored him with one punch and floored him again at Simon’s birthday party. Peter definitely won the Christmas fight and he weren’t even trying to fight, Nick just kept on charging at him when he tried to walk away and he easily floored him twice. I don’t know what Nick’s done to make you think he’s a more skilled fighter. I know Gary isn’t the hardest character in soap history but I’d say he’s shown more fighting ability than Nick

I get why people think Jim was harder but I honestly think Nathan would’ve beaten him. He was like the Dennis Rickman of Corrie in terms of fighting.

@@H.K.5 yeah Nathan was a young fit boxer . Jim was more of a pub brawler. 1 on 1 you gotta think Nathan would win! Jim just has had more fights
