@@hansolo631 Yes, BUT it was the third time he said the exact same thing.... As the round starts you hear him yell "inside, IN-fuckin-side"... After mouth piece spit out #1 he says in a semi-panic tone "inside on him, inside!" but is muffled/stifled purposely by the referee (because advise is forbidden during mouthpiece tending)... Then on mouth piece spit out #2 he knows if he calmly says it and seems sombre serious, his fighter will realize its now or never and the ref wont stop it because it was smooth and quick AND it also seemed like Diego had zero chance to win at that point with half a round left in the fight of a now obvious decision loss, that the ref would let it slide like we saw. Genius in such a subtle way

I met Diego Corrales once in El Paso. I've met Holyfield and Tyson and a few other world Champs. I'm so happy I met Diego. When I shook his hand I knew he was an elite warrior. He was my favorite fighter for a while along with Shane Mosley. I was so upset when Diego lost to Mayweather. This fight is immortal. Some people think it was unfair that the ref stopped the fight. Diego had a point taken for spitting out his mouth piece. And some think that Catsillo deserved a chance as well. However this is wrong. The difference is that when Diego was dropped twice it was on single punches and then there was a long interruption with the count and mouth piece before he got hit again. Castillo was hit up to 8 times after the fight could've been stopped and those within the blink of an eye. You stop that fight before the man is killed period. Castillo was a beast with a tough beard, too tough. Like Muhhamad Ali this man took too much damage and the fight ended. If he fell after 2 or 3 he could've gotten some time to regroup. Diego Corrales RIP Champ, beautiful human being. Everyone wishes they could get off the canvas when all is bleak and still pull out a win and this man did that. He had the heart of a lion, true warrior code champ. I remember him begging a doctor not to stop a fight on him and his mouth was ripped open. I would guess it needed 30 stitches, it was horrific and he was begging to go 1 more round.

Honestly...as great as Hagler v Hearns and Gatti v Ward 1 is...this is my favorite fight of all time. Castillo had never been down in his career...and Corrales comes back from 2 knockdowns to stop him. Incredible war in the 9 rounds before this too.

Technically Castillo didn't go down. Reading the comments here I must be the only one who thought the stoppage was premature. There was something like 24 seconds left in the round and yeah Castillo was in the "rubber room" but man you got to let 'em fight. After all Chico had just suffered two legitimate knockdowns, was in serious trouble then got up and did what he did. It was indeed a great fight and I was pulling for Chico the whole time.

The worst thing that happened to Castillo was that he was pinned on the ropes and so when he was out on his feet he stayed up so Tony Weeks had to call it. Otherwise, he would fall and get a 10 count and maybe survive

Corrales was removing the gumshield due to the discomfort from loose or missing teeth. Just before Tony Weeks stops the fight Castillo is on the ropes and lands a left hook then a straight right on Corrales, you can see a tooth fly out of Corrales mouth as the straight right lands. When a man is willing to fight to the death its not over until the end.

Matthew Anthony Im not saying ggg did anything wrong, canelo gassed like usual and ggg won on points but they decided it was a draw. How can you tell me they didn't give each other too much respect, its a make it or break it fight. Im just saying they should have boxed/fought like they wanted to prove they were better than the other and made it a for sure win. Tell me, if canelo had the gas don't you think it would have been a more entertaining fight? I bet 60 on canelo and I was sure that I lost.. buuut I techincally didn't.
