In theory how far is Corris thinking of taking the Southern extension? Given the geography it is hard to analyse from satellite photographs what is intact of the old route.

Is this the site of the new terminus or is it going further ? Great line always loved the old Corris

That's some serious earthworks your doing would it not of been possible to have the formation slightly lower with a gradient to get to the current end of the line?

As it is planned it will already be 1:30, the maximium grade that we are permitted to build at, so no, not really. The deviation is to bring the extension up to the original height of the formation which was taken over by the widening of the trunk road.
