Hold it, he says the crimson enemies are more difficult despite showing stuff that’s a little contradictory, that being that they have lower stats than the devourer, though not by much. Second, it’s IMO far easier to fight what you can see coming at you (ESPECIALLY the face monster) than what slithers around in the ground where you can’t see it until it jumps out right under your feet or something.

Melee: Crimson. The only aspect corruption has over crimson for melee classes are the chain Guillotines. Bladetongue is obviously very good in early hardmode, the vamp knives despite the Nerf are still better than the SotC, the BoC buff makes it pretty much equal to the worm scarf, flesh knuckles are just all round great and of course, ichor flasks are too good. Ranger: Corruption. Putrid Scent let's you craft the stalkers quiver and recon scope. Cant do that with the flesh knuckles, can you? The only upside crimson rangers have are the ichor darts and bullets. And most rangers just use the stormbow anyway. Mage: Crimson. Golden Shower. Nuff said. Summoner: Either

Tbh i always play expert so although with melee and ranger play throughs i have done both i always found myself replacing the brain of confusion very quickly but would never get rid of the worm scarf even though ichor is very useful for both classes

I really think that both biomes should’ve had hard mode bosses and no, I don’t think the destroyer counts as that’s just one of the mechanical bosses which is an essential fight and if it did count then the Crimson is missing a hardmode boss.

I understand why people like the Corruption more but I'm a Crimson fan. Has a real abomination/horror vibe that sets it apart from the more generic Corruption. @@sunsetintheforest8624 I built a dirt roof and walls around all patches of corruption in my main world because I got tired of random Eaters of Souls wandering too far and attacking me in the biome next door. It made the corruption easier to deal with, but I was still annoyed, so I abused the power of the heavy workbench to make statues spelling out 'SEND NUDES', which I placed over every corruption biome. If it's going to try and destroy everything I've ever built, the least I can do is lower its land value

Fun fact: When you are making a world, the random option for world evil is slightly biased towards crimson, specifically it's 5% more likely to be chosen than the corruption. This was to encourage people to try the crimson, but was never removed.

The freaking sountrack while on a crimson biome and the weird bloody monsters freaked me out. Especially when I play the game for the first time, I got into the crimson biome. As soon as I hear the soundtrack and how the background changed from normal to bloody, I immediately ran away. Plus a face monster was following me at that time.

The Corruption is a biome made of everyone’s sins and bad thoughts The Crimson is a hive mind of a singular being and made of people who die it’s boss is made from Cthulhu’s brain which was taken out by Dyrads from the war of Cthulhu which he also lost his eye and skeleton which he went to the dark side of the moon to recover Making Eye of Cthulhu and Skeletron Cult of Cthulhu created the Twins, and Skeletron Prime to replace his lost areas but a mechanical brain wasn’t finished in time The Moon Lord is recovered Cthulhu coming for revenge Credit to @ChippyGaming for reading the lore of terraria

I think the Corruption is better simply because of the aesthetic. It's literally pure evil creeping, embedding, flowing into whatever it can convert, while Crimson is a bad creepypasta: just blood and gore. The Corruption also follows the music themings of the Hallow and Purity, using the same leitmotifs, but corrupting them. Also it's been around the longest and I'm attached

Crystal bullets are always good against the tree mechanical bosses since they are bigger than most bosses, so the 3 shards can hit them easily dealing more damage.
