Corsair iCUE 5000T RGB Case Review

Hey what's up guys, hope you all are doing well. I'm Ryan with ExtremeHW. So does anyone remember the Corsair Graphite 600T? What about the 780T? Well if you have been in the game as long as I have, you will remember these two iconic PC cases. Launched in 2011 and 2013 respectively, the Corsair 600T and 780T were two of the PC cases that were very widely used. I however never got the chance to use either but I feel a bit more redeemed today because our friends over at Corsair sent over their new iCUE 5000T RGB for review. Stay with me.

Thank you for this review. I have had the same Phanteks mid tower case since 2016 and figured for my upgrade I might as well go all out. This was very helpful.

I have the black one. Amazon was the only one who had it when I bought it. This is a gorgeous case. Thanks to Micro Center for the build. The airflow is good. I just wish they would have pre-installed this case with Mag Lev fans instead of the LL120 fans.

People complaining about the price of this are missing the point a bit. It's aimed at a market that wants premium and flashy - so with the RGB 'extras' adding up to over half the price you can somewhat justify the cost if you have the spare change as it were, because you were going to buy the extras anyway. Yes, it's still overpriced by about $50 in my opinion, but you're paying for design and convenience. It's not competing with, say, the Fractal Torrent - it's going for those who prefer aesthetics. Personally, I think if they'd added an exhaust LL120, I'd have no complaints.

For the lcd screen customization I had to unplug the commander core that came with the cooler the longer plug in on the side and plug it back in and it works fine idk the reason but that fixed I could not figure out how to change the lcd to change my life so I started unplugging 1 cord at a time and that did it

I had it in my cart for a few days and then switched to the 5000X last second to reduce the amount of RGB. I like some RGB but I think it's too much at the end of the day.

the front fans dont glow and dont spin. did you need t install some software?

That would've been my 1st choice if the price is right. If it was a full tower, then that would make sense for the price. There's other ones out there with a better value.

So did you fit 3 140mm fans in the front? Can you fit a 420mm rad in the front aswell?

You don't need the rgb turned on and yes it is too expensive

This is Michael. You talk too fast like you're reading from a paper or trying to impress us. The best KZfaqrs talk to the listeners like they are people. You should have wired the AIO fans to the included commander xp, then you wouldn't have needed to add the Commander pro. The case is awesome and worth every penny. It is so easy to build in and you covered that factor in about 1/2 a second by saying it was brilliant, But that is its most important feature
