Never use the media keys? Thats crazy for me considering 98% of the time I'm on my pc i have spotify running so they see TONS of use.

YES the multimedia keys are like one of the BEST PARTS, i use them to skip tracks, pause, etc on the background program thats playing my music when i game, its half the reason i bought this thing

I always use the media key. The volume wheel is simply a must have now. And the play/pause and skip buttons are super cool ! whenever I use spotify while being in game, I can change songs or pause it without having to alt+tab

2:57 I listen to music and podcasts constantly while I use my PC, so I use the media center on my keyboard frequently. its nice to change the song without alt+tabbing.

I've had the same $25 Logitech keyboard for 8 years sadly. I always watch keyboard videos like a little kid with his face against the glass of a candy store. I use the multimedia keys all the time on my k70, when listening to music on spotify and gaming at the same time.

Just bought this keyboard a few days ago and will say I love it, though my only concern is the spacebar, it seems to lean to one side from the way I am used to hitting the backspace, and fails to work until i reseat it.

At the moment as my main keyboard I got the Corsair K65 Rapidfire RGB (TKL) with the MX Speed switches, so no need to upgrade.. It also has a USB passthrough. Spend around 150 Euros on it, which I consider pretty much max. budget for a mech keyboard. TKL has its advantages and if you don't use the macro keys you can also save some money. I also got a CM Storm Quick Fire TK (cherry mx brown) and Ducky Shine 2 TKL (cherry mx blue) laying around. Have owned a MX Red as well in the past, but the MX Speed switches are my favorite for gaming so far.

I've been using a strafe rgb with silent browns for the last 8 months and I have to say it's well made, solid, and feels nice to type on. I know it's pricey but I don't really think spending good money on something is bad if you use it a lot and it's well made. I honestly don't see why corsair gets shit on so much, I get that it's pricey but everything of theirs I've ever owned has been pretty well made.

I use media keys. Actually like the scroll on my K70. Also for someone who has a playlist (and not listening to one song for few hours) media keys seem good rather than doing macros in Foobar. Also my K70 is the older model (strange Corsair Gaming logo on it) with only red LED and my PC is mostly Black/Blue with white accents, but dont exactly triggers my OCD.

As a recording engineer I thought I would mention something. Most, if not all, of the keyboard and switch reviews have limiting or compression on the audio. This makes all keyboard keys sound pretty similar. The audio limiter is used to allow you to record people close up and farther away without must difference in volume. So, right off I thought there was no difference between any of the key switches. That is, until I visited a store and heard them in person. So, in the reviews if you could turn OFF the limiter/compressor you would see a more dramatic difference. By the way, I just bought this very keyboard. There must be only 8 left in the universe. I didn't want the XT.

I honestly can't see why anyone would dislike this video. He gave a genuine and honest review.

I use the media keys when I'm watching something on my second screen on youtube or listening to music in the background while playing games.

I was today years old when i found out the wrist rest plate was magnetic and double-sided. I've had this thing for 3 years and not used the profiles, but i have made good use of those media keys, they're super nice imo.

I'm obsessed with corsair keyboards I have a k70 with blue switches which is extremely clicky and sounds like perfection.

I just started using the multimedia function keys, and they're actually it's actually pretty convenient that I don't have to tab out of games all the time to hit next on my playlist.

Accidentally dropped Ice Tea on mine, it is not waterproof, I can tell you that..

200 is too much in my mind on a keyboard. 150 is max for me.

my biggest problem with this one is the price, the K95 RGB had 12 more Cherry MX switches, so they are now saving on switches but selling it for the same price? 180€ would have been fair... and without 18 G-Keys it is not a K95 to me, it is maybe more of a K85... It also rubs me very much the wrong way that this is exactly what Logitech did with the Logitech G15, the original had 18 G-Keys and the refresh had only one row and i hated that... i went straight from the OG G15 to the K95 RGB and now their refresh does the same thing?! no, don't do that! I don't see how the saving 3 profiles thing is new either... mine does that as well, it just doesn't have the custom reactive effects but just the base colors of the key, so i can totally set my default profile to all Blue and do not need to Software for that. If i want it to blink funky when i press a button, then i do need the Software. Basically this only allows me that my LEDs are blue instead of rainbow puke while booting and when in BIOS, in Windows it is a no brainer to have Corsair CUE in autostart (btw... CUE, not "Link"...). The RGB strip makes it look a bit too "gamey" i did like the more grown up look of the previous versions better. The G keys being grey also looks kinda MEH... but whatever... i'm happy with mine, and it was expensive enough that it has to hold until i'm 40 ;P not sure if i can say the same thing for the VOID or the M65 PRO... those look more tho be "2 years and NEXT"-products...

Well "it will last you for 5 years". I'm like really nope. ... so here it is - I've been using Logitech Media Keybord (very old one) for about 6 years and it was fine. I wanted to switch just because it didn't have anti ghostling (3+ keys - and you hear BEEEP, and your car crashes in NFS because it didn't get what you pressed). So I bought nice, cosy roccat keyboard - Isku, old one not illuminated, it was really expensive at this moment. And trust me, my logitech survived like 6 times tea with some sugar, coca-cola, water and other spilled drinks during lifetime. After 3 months I done this only ONCE with roccat by accident. "You only spill once". In logitech and microsoft keyboards the construction of keyboard is made to not let drinks inside electronics - roccat has diffrent policy. Drinks were coming out of corners of keyboard right throgh every inside part. At this moment I knew I wasted a lot of money. I'm using Genesis RX66 - it is cheap, it has macro keyboards, and guess what - it is spill proof. Only thing that has fucked up is space bar - it lost colours on point when I'm pressing it with my finger. I paid 1/8 price of isku and I'm happy with it.

I recently got K95 Platinum and love the build quality, I briefly owned a k70 Rapidfire RGB and previous to that a Razer Blackwidow 2014 edition.

I have an original Das Keyboard Pro, from years ago. that was an expensive keyboard for the times. The fact that this one has RGB and macros, plus a quieter mechanical sound, and the wrist rest, the $200 price tag seems reasonable. I would pick one up, but my collection of mech keyboards is already too large. Looks like a great product, thank you for the review.

Im still using a Logitech G11 Keyboard (the one with 18 macro keys on the left side) lol! ive had it for years and it still hasnt broken, I got it probably for like $30-$50 when I bought it.

The new keyboard font is hideous, prefer the old K95 + its predecessor extra 18 keys, alas the new one is more compact which maybe its strong point

Using corsair K70 red switch with red backlight. (not RGB) Always liked corsair keyboard it feels nice and its a quality product. Whenever I use Razer keyboard it feels cheaply made.

I remember buying the vengeance k95 mmo version with the huge number of side buttons that come with it. 6 months later half the lights on the board went out but the keys themselves work just fine. Typing essays on it was a nightmare. Very long key travel and the keys are spaced apart too much. It also made using other keyboards difficult since I was so used to it. It was also super loud since it's got the mechanical red switches. It cost me almost 300 dollars with shipping.

i wont buy a keyboard that doesn't have multimedia and volume keys anymore, so yeah people use them, how do you pause or mute music quickly ? and don't say mouse cuz that's nowhere near fast enough

I use the multimedia keys on my keyboard everytime I use my PC. Usually when I'm gaming I have Spotify running in the back and the volume keys make it less time consuming to change the volume. I also use the Calculator key from time to time and also the key that opens the file manager which is very useful for me

Paul and Kyle have reviewed this keyboard but I always prefer to watch your videos of the product, probably because of the clean video setup and how it's presented

If you look at Razer they have pretty crazy priced key boards. I think neither of these (Razer or Corsair) keyboards are worth the price. However we have been pushed into a very expensive PC Gaming Market. At the end of the day the price is high but competes with Razer but you can get an RGB Aftermarket Keyboard for $40

I bought the first k95 RGB with the intent that it was my end-game keyboard, but it bugged me that the multimedia keys weren't backlit and that the macro keys were set down farther than the rest of the keyboard making them harder to use. The fact that the new K95 RGB Platinum fixes all of those concerns really bugs me because now I need it :P

I hate it when a reviewer says a product has "launched" when it hasn't. You have it, but that doesn't mean everyone else can buy it.

Every time I return to work when they call me back I treat myself to a gift. This time it was the K954 keyboard. I was able to get it at a good price. and the first time using it. Love the feel.

And here I am still rocking the original black widow ultimate with cherry MX blues and I love it and its been flawless in all these years

If they lower down the price a bit, this would be the best keyboard ever.

200 Is to much honestly. All they got going for them is the RGB and the Volume dial. I have the blackwidow stealth for $100 (half the price) and it's the same pretty much except for the features mentioned(also I dont have wrist rest, but I don't like those).

Thank you for talking about the on-product profile memory. I really like to have my Corsair H115i at qiuet pump setting and lit up red. But I have to leave the software running which eats up 2% of my CPU ALL THE TIME. Please point that out for every future rgb-product whether it has been done right or wrong because this also applies to motherboards, graphics cards etc.

I use the media keys when I have music in the background and im in a game. Its nice that it still works while playing a game which surprised me. Also I use the K70 RGB and im looking at possibly upgrading to this new one they released. I've always wanted a few macros but not 3 rows of them so this is pretty optimal for me I would say as well as the wider letters in the keyboard to really show off its luminosity entice me.

Just picked one up from a well known auction site for £110 - still sealed with spare keys and MX Speed switches. No key bounce like I had from the refurbished K95 RGB I got originally. Well pleased :-)

i am using the Corsair Gaming K70 Lux RGB and i freaking love it ... using extra oRings to make it more silent but this works like a dream for me :) but 200 is Right on the spot for the k95 in my eyes... 1. the corsair mech keyboard is a premium board so if some peeps cant afford it ... then go buy somthing else .. 2 this is NOT a plastic case keyboard and ofc we need to pay abit more for that aswell + the the lights is freaking sexy aswell so ... Yup i think 200 bucks for a keyboard from Corsair is RIGHT on the spot :)

I missed my K95!! i had it sent to corsair and had to use a backup (razer blackwidow ultimate 2016) and i am sooo happy to receive my corsair keyboard back, im quite happy with my k95, and had a great experience with Corsairs customer service. they've definitely stepped up their game since the early 2000's

all branded +$100 keyboards are never worth it as 70% of the price is profit and used for marketing.

My $35 keyboard feels as good. Certainly won't pay $200 for RGB and wrist rest lol.

Multimedia keys are a must for me. I have the K70 and I use the mute and volume controls more then any other volume control. I love the volume wheel.

Currently using a K70 RGB, and YES, i do use the multi-media keys. (usually only the volume dial, but that key alone is a God-send)

This is my first rgb keyboard, I’m kind of excited to use it with an mmo like classic Everquest, dedicated bard macro keys yes please.

I'll buy $200 worth of toilet paper before I spend more than 100 on a keyboard. I find it ironic how the barrier to entry in most high quality up-tiered gaming peripherals is right around triple digits.
