I love how George explains the features of Corsair products perfectly every time, unlike some Phanteks PR people I met at a local tech expo who failed to say anything specific about their super expensive case apart from "it's a great case".

Man i never knew you guys made a purpose to be a 1 case and put 2 PC's one of them can be for games the other for streaming man we need this stuff !

I have not seen such a milestone in the construction, such beauty and splendor in the convenience of installation of cooling systems for a long time. And the materials of the case is excellent.

With so many fans, your PC will help stay cool, no matter how many work loads there are.

Wonderful....after I already bought my Corsair 750D case. I so badly wanted hinged doors...looks like I"ll be saving up my money for this case in a year or so.

Ive had my Corsair 1000D for a while now and Ive used it for numerous upgrades to whole new systems. I love how much room there is to work inside of this case. Im about to put together my first custom water loop hopefully this weekend with Two 480mm radiators up front that are 58mm thick each. Hopefully they can fit just right with 16x 120mm push pull fans attached for better cooling at lower rpms. Thanks

That was the best case ever, it solves every problem except for space on your desk and your electricity bill but other than that great deal 👍🏾

Had one of these for a while now, and must say I am pretty happy with it. I wanted a big, ridiculous case, and that's what I got. To make it extra ridiculous, I'm only running air cooling. Up to 8 case fans now, along with 3 on the GPU and 2 on the CPU. Due to the good air flow, they never ramp up much, so the noise is almost non-existent. So yes, you can absolutely use this case without water cooling. It's quite a workout to move it though, so if you fill it up enough, it's almost a theft deterrent. My fully loaded case probably weighs more than 100 lbs at this point - the same as my handgun safe..

I just rebuilt my PC! Now I'm going to have to do it all over again :)

This design is so cool...especially the front glass love it...i wish corsair will make another obsidian smaller than this but bigger than 500D...with front n top 360 rad compatibility...

Caveat: Replacement trays available (when in stock). Good luck catching them in stock. They ARE very nice cases though.

Finally bought it and just realized it is actually 4 years old!!!

My apologies for the silly question but what if I had no intention of liquid cooling my system other than maybe using an AiO like the Hydro Series H115i RGB for the processor and decided to just fill up every fan mount and air cool it? Would that work or would airflow be insufficient in such a large space?

I’m going add this to my current build - the “Overkill” build. I have all computer components- just need a case that could match Sure my Threadripper 2920x (12 cores) isn’t overkill when compared to 3990x or above (16-64 cores) but definitely overkill for what I use it for - pinball gaming, iTunes, KZfaq, anime, and social media. So this case will definitely be right at home.

ive got one obsidian every time i 've changed my hardware ;) started with the 750D then the 800d , now the 900d "2X 480 + 1X140mm radiators" , my next setup with a 5950X will be with a 1000d "2X 480 + 1X420mm" ;)

I just did a simple build in a Corsair 1000D, using just fans. My new long term goal, is to look for ways to gradually upgrade and hopefully get a video card the size of a watermelon. LOL ! I found the old thumb screws everywhere to be really annoying. My ASUS X570 fit so perfectly into the spot, that is was so simple to install. I wish the back exhaust area had room for two 140mm fans, but it only has room for one and an additional 120mm or just two 120 mm's. My CPU cord barely reached the powersupply. I would have preferred to have three 140mm fans on the front for my air-build, but that was not a deal-breaker. My Noctua fans would not reach the Commander Pro, but I have the Noctua extension cords laying around here in a pile somewhere, so I will fix that tomorrow. I do not know if I will add a mini-ITX to the build. I wish it had a spot for a Raspberry Pi or Odroid. LOL ! I really did not want a full glass panel, expecially on the back, but I did what hinged doors on both sides. I really wish there was a chassis fan hole on the glass near the video card area. I will likely not have hard-drives on my build, but if so, just one. I plan to fill up the SSD area and have a Linux distro or some other OS on each SSD. The only think unique about my build, is that I have Fedora Rawhide Workstation loaded on the first NVMe which is a fast one, and then I have Fedora 33 Beta Workstation loaded on the 2nd NVMe which is slightly slower, but one TB. For the time being, I just have a new Ryzen 3 1200AF, but I will eventually put something better in. I have a giant Noctua Air-cooler and plan to fill all the fan holes with premium fans. bought the case a few weeks back. the case is both a blessing and a curse. If you decide to "max it out" you'll find yourself modifying the enclosure like I am doing right now.

Just got this case, and I gotta say, impressive and big. Only thing I wish it came with an effin instruction manual [unless I missed mine somehow], as I had to google and analyze every little bit to get this setup working correctly [like you can switch the tray between eachother....figgured that out while looking at 140mm to 120mm adapters to make my radiator fit,...]

Sorry if this is a Noob question and I know I am late to the game as this video was posted quite a long time ago. Was wondering What fans you were using for the front and back (model or brand etc...) and also does this case come with a controller as I see you have 8 fans on front... (how do you get everything synced up like that?) and if I add a corsair 150 elite AIO (the one with the LCD), with they too all sync up? Love the case.. but definitely lost in the setup stuff.

I bought this super awesome thing altough I am no water cooling enthusiast.. not custom and not AIO since you know.. threadripper.. enermax.. but this case is just awesome... tho I dread this weekend since I need to get the building to the floor above me and its super heavy.. even when lots of stuff is removed.. also I need to fix the cable management.. oh boi...

I get that this is meant for watercooled builds but would this get enough airflow for a air cooled build?

A Graphite 780T with a White Interior and meshes would be nice too. Maybe even make that front light RGB. It doesn't need tempered glass though, I can live without that.

What model fans are these? They have a clear glossy look but all I can find online are white ones that take RGB but it does not look as clean and clear as these ones?

would you be able to squeeze 2 x 360mm radiators up top? I think some one on youtube did it but I have no idea how.
