@@alexdragoon74 I'm referring to someone commenting below that Corsica is Italy........... the fact that people still ask/ and assume that we are Italian or French (I've been asked this for 50 years and if you google corsica that the first thing people ask) > it's would be the same as wondering if Irish people are English or Scottish >>> this is because in the 70's 80's 90's we were forbidden by the French to speak our language. Not sure how it is for you in Sardinia ? but our language has similarity with Italian and nothing to do with French

Sardinian is more its own unique Romance language, whereas "Corsican" is just an Italian dialect... (As in, it's literally a dialect of Tuscan Italian (where standard Italian came from)), but yes.

@@Nwk843 Yes and you know what I see something between Asian languages and French especially Chinese. I always thought a Chinese and a Franc sound a little similar when they speak English with a heavy accent. And I just came across a short now with an Asian girl in Germany. When I heard the music I thought it was Chinese or something but then I saw a comment saying it's French music then I listened again and I was amazed. I always thought Chinese and French English accents have a little click but I just learnt it's the language too.

@viperking6573
@viperking6573 11 ай бұрын
For english speakers, it pronounces / sezi / but writes ses because in Sardinian ( all variants ), when you end your sentence, you can't end in a consonant. For example " ses piccioccus " would be / ses pitsh:ok:uzu / and so on

@@flavtlano9033 I'm from San Marino so I agree with you ahah, San Marino would cease to exist because of this ideology, but for me the Corsica example is different: Corsica has always been treated badly by the french government, even now there are protests there, I don't want that the Corsican identity becomes assimilated by the french, who is so similar to italian, I have a sentiment of solidarity with Corsica.
