I think this bass series will be a good alternative to the Ibanez Sr504/604 series because of the similar features and price point. nice that there comes more to choose from in the medium price region! :)

What would the string spacing be on this one I know the other 2 are different?

The electronic are very similar to the Ibanez SR5/6/700 series. Both with Bartolini MK1 pickup and the preamp layout is the same.

I remember when Cort and Harmony ran side by side in the Sears Wishbook back in the early 1980s... Cort has come a long way. I've played a Curbow model by Cort. I liked it. I'm surprised Jeff Berlin isn't doing this segment. He really sells Cort instruments and Markbass amps well. He gives a nice review and he plays them in professional applications. I have yet to see any of these basses in my local stores however... Grand Rapids, MI. I'd like to try one.

if you look em up,cort makes basses for just about everyone...very high quality instruments without bullshit marketing ...i love mine

Yeah, I'm aware of that... they are like Samick. Samick builds the instrument to the specs of a particular brand and that brand slaps their name on it. Nothin' wrong with that... it's good manufacturing actually. Thanks for the reply!

I love your videos as they are so precise and no nonsense.I use Cort A5 custom Z, now i am looking for one 4 stringer. Can you please help me which one is better Cort C4 ( i have similar design bass) or shall i go for Cort action DLX with Mark bass preamp. Please guide.

How does this compare against the cort b4? I'm looking at c5 and b5 actually and cant see a big difference except preamp and body materials

killer murderer I believe the “B series” comes with hip shot tuners, roasted maple fretboard & swamp ash body... Otherwise they’re very similar... the “C series” is just minus those few options that increase the price point...

Klingt sehr "modern" und überhaupt nicht klassisch im Sinne von Jazz Bass à la Fender Jazz Bass. Das ist ein typisches Merkmal der Cort Bässe. Warum tested ihr nicht ´mal die Marcus Miller Bässe von Sire - auch "low budget" aber klassischer in der Tonformung? Übrigends sowohl aktiv, als auch passiv mit seperater Mittenregelung... I suggest testing the Marcus Miller basses from Sire too - same price range but more "classical" sound approach (at least for the V7 basses) than Cort Basses which are for me very "modern" and clean and they have a more Rock oriented line too with similar sound specs like the Cort. And no... I am not related to Sire in any way apart from having bought a 4- and 5-string V7 bass ;-)

+The Royal Bacon 515 too much in my eyes I'd rather spend more and get more. and what's with that head stuck I can't get over that either. although it has that Mark bass EQ he claims that when you turn the knobs either way it doesn't really affect the sounds... I want to be able to affect the sound.
