That was the time that music was music especially two musicians like a Ismael Rivera and Rafael cortijo being the percussionist that he was a real master at it and Ismael Rivera being one of the best singers if not the best singers that ever came out of Puerto Rico anything this man sang was just a hit or just sound really good doesn't matter if it was a ballet or a up Temple song he always nailed it a real bore natural not like nowadays they'll fix whatever they have to fix in the studio to make it sound perfect back then the band play together and record it together in the studio no overdubbing nothing the real sound the real feel the real roots was back in the day much respect for Rafael cortijo y su combo that I have been listening to since the age of 12
