Corvette Detail Series: E9 - Gtechniq EXO V4, Wolf's Glass Sealant Application & Wrap Up

Everything on the C7 Corvette is now coated and it's 99% officially done. I did the standard 2 coats of Gtechniq EXO V4. EXO V4 can be a little more stubborn to apply because CSL and EXO like to reject the additional coating layer, so don't be afraid to kind of work it in. While I was doing the paint and trim in EXO V4, I knocked out the glass sealant with Wolf's Nano Glass Sealant. Wolf's also suggests doing 2 coats on your windows to get maximum performance from the sealant.

i just coated my Toyota corolla 2015 in CSL few high spots but i took great care of it 100,000 miles on mine

He sounds so relaxed. I like exo. Very durable stuff. Never tried csl. I’ll be trying it soon. The glass sealant looks like it works nicely.

Are you using the Gtechniq products as a wipe on wipe off method or are you allowing them to “flash” like other coatings recommend.

I allow it to flash for a really short period of time.

Matt, while I haven't won either giveaways I think a Tesla would be a VERY popular giveaway and series of detailing and tweaking. My father, uncle, and cousin do have OCD and anxiety issues but they agree the Tesla does help alleviate some of it and the quiet ride does help too.

I find Exo doesn't really crystalize. I don't think I would reuse towels after CSL but the ones you use for Exo are probably fine like you said

Since the car sat around for couple days, in case it was dusty, what did you or would you use to wipe it down between coats.. between CSL and EXO too for example.. I’m thinking low amounts of Eraser on towel?

Right away from what I remember! You can knock out the CSL and go right into Exo. Might have to wait 1 hr to apply the 2nd coat of Exo.

Yeah, it's hard because I can tell Matt isn't into this car, and his lack of excitement transfers to the video. If he was excited about it that energy would show. You can tell the difference in his personality between this car and the videos he does with...say...his GT3 RS.
