My friend Eddy banks who worked security on that so cute campus by the end .. wondered if he was ms banks rapper artist's father but in any case Eddy was one and main founder of Stax records as in the concert watts stax .. Isaac Hayes Barcays days the real funk on a massive scale .. and I gotta say my very first recording session at 16 some years old still fresh of the boat was as a bass player for this man .. had never been in a recording studio and this was somewhere in the hood very under the radar on all level but had what was needed to lay some thick groove .. only a drummer and I where there with him trying to express his vision and we only did two tales live .. second one a little tighter was the cut and I got a rep From day one as a one to two takes max thanks to that under mentioned and under celebrated if at all when having contributed so much to street music and funk in general it's damn ridiculous .. I laid bass lines in studios from that day on almost /25 years straight til studio themselves were closing down due to accessibility to record for everyone at home on lab tops so all kids could have a chance thank God .. I lost most of my income based on studio work but fair trade I thought for all the ones who otherwise never would had the chance to even hear a song they wrote or a beat or groove they heard unless signing half their lives away to some label and get shelved for their music never to see the light either to shitty to make it or to good and therefore a threat to their already existing artist therefore sort of on the bench til their artist crapes out or left or got a following themselves playing shit clubs days in days out at $50. A pop til the world paid attention enough for the label holding their life to give em a chance. Personally as a studio cat wanting to stay independent and free I would have a chance to even get any record credit may be for my first decade of studio work .. and heard myself on Kay day or 106 at lest once a day if I turned on the radio ...before internet you could genius vertiuoso such as this guy never heard of for most his life and so many simply never heard other than in their neigbouhood church ...Amen thank god. It has changed but at the same time to many forgot where they got it from ( church ) where the roots always will remain .. i pray to God they do ..

To be honest they both may be excellent musicians , but it's an over kill of a simple beautiful melody . I do prefer the simple HYMN BOOK version.
@lutz44323 жыл бұрын
What you're hearing is certainly not a new version of amazing grace. They are simply communicating over a well known form and melody, which each of them have certainly played hundreds of times. And because it is such a simple beautiful melody it works phenomenally as a catalyst for conversation. These musicians have spent their lives learning and training so they could converse in this manner, so it's not meant to compete with THE amazing grace it's just two people who spent their lives learning to speak, having the very best of conversations.
