It’s more so the weight advantage I think bw, in general, has higher level strikers than lw does and I think Cory is a better technical striker than Justin.

@@risenaus Oh for sure. I don't doubt that Cory is able to strike competitively with Gaethje. In fact, I wouldn't be surprised if Cory was superior from a technical perspective. That being said, Gaethje is a very big lightweight with Welterweight level power so it's not exactly a fair comparison. The same thing would happen if Gaethje sparred with Robert Whittaker. Both very skillful but at a certain point size and strength matter.

I don't know, I might be wrong but I think if anyone beats him it's going to be the Georgian Merab, he's not really fun to watch fight but I think he could and now there's all kinds of new blood in Bantamweight, like Fig vs Cody winner, I see Fig winning it but at the same time I WANT Cody to win cuz he's probably my favorite bantamweight of all time and then everyone forgets that Umar is still fresh and up and coming at that dude is good all around, I kind of do agree with you though because it's not just that Cory is A good striker but he's soo Down and game and ready to fight, like when he fought yan & Tj there was little to NO give in the heart of him. But there are soo many sharks who wanna bite in that division and Sean doesn't really respect any of them I think except Corey anyway sooo.. BW is the division that's most stacked with talent. It's overflowing with talent. Especially when compared to other weight classes.
