Hey Chandrika, Yes you are right, some pigmentation treatments are not suitable for correcting melasma as they are heat related and make melasma worse. However this Cosmelan treatment is both safe and delivers results for melasma and all fitzpatrick skin types. Hi Eva, it is recommended to use the melan recovery cream post the cosmelan treatment. This is because the depigmentation treatment continues at home over the next 6months. If you don’t use the post care products you will not get the same result.

Yes totally understand there is an upkeep for the next 12months and it is not cheap. You should however after then be able to move onto other skincare products with actives like vitamin a, b and c to miminise hyperpigmentation from occurring. I know it is definitely a pricey treatment! Amazing results though and comes with homecare. The price is around about the same though if you got 6-8 treatments of microneedling which is what you would require for results. Hey Bernadine, this professional treatment is great for melasma :) however melasma is often triggered by hormonal imbalances or medication so it sometimes goes away on it's own. If you've had it for a while, then this professional treatment definitely gives the best results I have personally seen in the beauty industry. Homecare skincare that contain vitamin c, alpha arbutin and niacinamide is also beneficial for reducing dark spots and preventing excess hyperpigmentation.
