Thank you, it is much appreciated.
Richard Maurice Bucke took many years to write a book to tell us something about what most of us supposedly will not be able to understand. He succeeded since Cosmic Consciousness: A Study in the Evolution of the Human Mind, published in 1901, is not difficult to comprehend. In it, he writes about how some among us can and have attained cosmic consciousness, the term he coined for what other traditions call enlightenment, nirvana, “Brahmic Splendour” or the Kingdom of God. He was a psychiatrist, a “man of science” though after his enlightenment experience when he was 36, he was also a mystic.
