I wrote this song after learning about the extraordinary adventures of an ancestor of mine who had been a pickle and condiment maker. The song slowly fermented, and is now a celebratory stomp exploring themes of consumption, excess, madness, and the possibility of transformation.

I really like this! Something about it kind of reminds me of Gods and Gangsters, which has always felt slightly different from the rest of your discography. Like other people have said, I'm so consistently excited for a new song from you, and this didn't disappoint. Lovely!

I can’t say enough how much i love this song. It has amazing lyrics, a great beat, and sound effects that just make it that much better. Last night I listened to this song literally 10 times in a row. It’s a beautiful piece of art. And you are so creative and talented. After dinner last night, I told my mom that the person who sang the pickle song, ( wriggle) lol, came out with new songs. Whenever I listen to this, I wonder if the verse "We'll be overrun with madness like the darling buds of May" is a reference to Dionysus and the cults he was worshipped in, since he was celebrated in May the most (with a series of festivals in his name).
