Here are some more video ideas to make: 1) You can use tractor beam to push friendly ships and stations into the sun ring, when they burn up, scoop up the resources using the build to collect items method. Because the magnet does not count as agro. You can also push them into the sun but it's more complex and time consuming than just towing it via magnet. 2) You can use asteroids as shield for your ship to cheeze the AI, simply mine a square in a big rock and park the ship in it. Then edit it to lock it into place. 3) In the sun ring, there are tons of high end asteroids, you can pull them out of the ring with magnet to be mined, or if you use a shield wall ship you can mine it in the ring of the sun using the shade of the ship. 4) Using the magnet, you can pull friendly ships towards enemies, so you don't have to fight yourself as they get rekt instead. :D 5) At the end game, where the bases and their storage are massive, you can sell the resources to it before killing and claiming it, this way you will get the cash and after claiming it, you will get back the resources which you sold to the base. 6) You can abandon ships before doing stuff which will increase wanted level, as when the cops come, they will jump towards all your ships in attempt to destroy them, but if you abandon them, they will be ignored, meaning you only need your attack ship, while the rest are safe.

I'd found such a half destroyed base by accident, tons of steal, coils and hyper-coil floating around. I made +2 million of that base loot.

The first trick is really cheesey to me but that last one sounds really fun.

Another thing you can do is find the monolith station that has control rooms in the center, move your ship in the build grid to have it be in the open space in the center, destroy only the control rooms then either hyper jump out (make sure to spin them up before hand) or self destruct and come back with another ship.

When I first discovered this, I found it quite amusing that you could collect and sell back the station's own stockpiles to make a ton of money. AND they still pay you to "save" them.

That's so dirty. Downright filthy. I love it!

And heres me trying to make a honest buck by mining with a factory ship. Time to make a new save.

Guys guys guys, if you do this for the first system and then b-line to a system at the 15 and above range you can just leech off of battles the big ships have 👍

Dual laser cannons have a larger max range than cannons, so any station you can just cheese while sitting at max range in safety. Has helped me getting my rep up against pirate stations

One of my goals in this game is to completely clear out a complete solar system. Destroying everything, mining everything and selling everything to another system. Maybe I’ll even try to pack every resource in the whole game into storage ships and then I will own the WORLD

8 months late idc To go further into the station sniping method, you can see how many resources you will exactly be able to get from its trade menu, you can push the ship away by just using the T attack function and setting your ship so that the red ship icon is somewhat inside the station, the station will work against you but it doesnt matter, this is more for early game since with the ship you used it doesnt matter since you just hyperdrived out. Edit: you can sell all you resources and just regain them after destroying it, ofc if you have a reduced sell % with that faction i wouldnt recommend doing it.

Cheesing the system(s). I always check in with my personal morale and what I want and do not want to do. This is literally the no morale at all version. Very hard immersion break. This is currently without any form of consequences but literally: The consequence should be: 100% fame with pirates and be an enemy to everyone else. Or even worse: Pirates don't care. Now you don't have a place to go at all... Well, to each their own. It's not that there is a creative mode to do whatever you like. Stay crunchy.

its mining works well of early you have one spot and have a nest or something there as if you're an engineer and have your factory's there make fleets of miners and defense for them then go for the pirates you can 100% the zone with really big ships

In the new update if you build a box around a ship the path finding will be funny and the ship will fly into the sun. Also if you build a triangle armour block in a dead space inside a friendly ship it will sometimes fly into the sun but also might just continue its business and you can get it to explore for you.

i Feel like the station one breaks the game hard core

Hey ThatOneKMC or chat, Question: If I create a ship in creative mode and set up crew priorities and roles and then save the ship, these crew setting are not loaded when I build the ship from blueprint mode in career mode. Even if additionally, I load the crew roles and priorities for that ship. So my question is how do I save the crew priorities and roles setup for a ship correctly so that they are there when I rebuild that ship?

Or after you save the station you can take over the station, just for a little bit reputation with that faction

For free supplies I use the Pirate stations. In the early part of the game I have 3 systems with my own stations and small fleets to go back for. RailGuns are your friend. Big gun sit outside range of the pirate weapons on the station aim center mass and several shots later new supplies.

New player here, I didn’t even know you could claim a dead space station for yourself. So you can claim any ship in the game?

i have tons of cash and have only cleared 1 system. over a 1million. it's the crew problem not cash or resources. i have been between 30 and 50 short on crew for nearly half my play time in this game. show a quick way to up the fame for crew.
