Does this method also work when using flats as the base instead of heels?

Yes, this method can be used with flats as well, but try to be very careful as the elastic wrapped underneath the shoe will affect the traction of the shoe, so it will be easier to slip.

Diomira Rusalka, What kind of fabric are you using? I bought some similar fabric and the gold rubs off with friction or sweat. Would you happen to know of some gold fabric that won't rub off? Great tutorial by the way!!

Hi there! I used 4-way stretch costuming fabric from Joann fabrics, I believe it might have been Yaya Han's brand. So far they've held up pretty well! Perhaps tube socks underneath might help with the sweat and keep them from moving around and causing friction? I have also heard good things about the foil lame spandex fabric from FabricWholesaleDirect.com if you want to give it another go :) Thank you so much!
