I think Lidl has become expensive. The Freeway cola used to be €1.99 and now it is €3.49 ! This was really interesting and I believe I pay better prices in Alpha Mega for lots of the things you showed us. Thanks George and Sue. x

Great video, George. All these Lidl prices are ridiculously high because Lidl in Cyprus is controlled by Greece and not Cypriots. Nowhere else in the world is Lidl so expensive!!!! It is a budget store everywhere else in the world except of course in Cyprus. Plus the majority of goods are Greek brands as Greece promotes its own . We do not get any of the enormous amount of other choices that shoppers have in the U.K and other countries. I hope and pray Aldi comes to Cyprus and is not a rip off like Lidl and is not run by similar Greek sharks.

It's expensive like everything here because it is a small market. The population is just over 1 million people so no buying power, and as an island majority of stuff comes by air or sea. All the shops are expensive.

Hi George and Su thank you so very much for showing this Vlog it’s very kind of to show us what the current prices are like it’s good to know these things as we sometimes go into Lidl when we come to Cyprus to get a few bits but we do our big main shop at that supermarket what used to called Carrefour in Larnaca as well as go in a couple of others and once again this Vlog has been interesting to know what the current prices are like but by the time we come back to Cyprus we will have forgotten all about it
