My name is Louise and i am documenting my move from the UK to Canada! Myself and my boyfriend Jake moved to Canada 26th December 2019 on a 2 year working holiday visa. We moved to Ontario near Niagara Falls and we are loving every minute! In 2021 we gained permanent residency to live in Canada long time. Me and my husband are just starting to think about moving to Canada. He’s got a HGV licence so would get in hopefully on express entry. We are still in the very early research stages. Your videos have been very helpful so far. Would love an updated weekly shop video.

Can you do your utility bills on an annulised basis. ? They take what we've paid over the past year , divide it by twelve , and that's what we pay every month. It's a lot easier to budget!

Us Canadians definitely pay too much for cellular and internet services. Rental prices here in Hamilton are probably a bit higher but not as bad as Toronto.

Here the UK, my internet comes free with my apartment and my mobile phone (complete with unlimited data) is £22. I almost fell off my chair to see that internet bill.

Oh I did the same video in French few weeks ago, so helpful for newcomers! 85$ for hydro is not too bad, I used to pay the same for a one bedroom by myself! Now its the 2 of us and we actually pay less with a bigger place, so weird!
