I live in Hawaii and have built my savings where I am able to earn around $2,000 a month in dividends with an income fund focus. I’m looking at the idea of living in Asia where I don’t have to work and just live on the income I make from my fund. Japan seems to be affordable right now but it’s very difficult to get a resident visa without a job. I’m not sure if South Korea is relatively comparable and I don’t mind living outside the city centre to save on rent since I wouldn’t be working I have the time to commute to do things in Seoul. I’m looking for a semi-retirement type of living. Bali is also looking like another option for me.
