Love your "Crow Brain" and "Cost Per Wear" philosophy. It is taking minimalism from the Basics 101 class to the Master 1001 class.

For a video content idea, you could go through how you document what you wear daily and calculate cost per wear. Is it writing in a paper journal, entering into a spreadsheet with formulas, images stored on your phone, etc.? Sounds time consuming but perhaps worthwhile. Thanks!

I do have that video on my list, so I’ll likely do it eventually. It’s just that my system is probably not the most efficient, you could definitely come up with better ways and I will eventually. But maybe I’ll talk more specifically about it before. Thanks for the suggestion x

I’ve watched your videos for a year or so now and love them. I’ve wrestled with doing the cost per wear, but I buy everything second hand. Your explanation of it tells me that I’m practically spending pennies as long as I wear what I buy. Thanks for the great advice!

this is a huge game changer for me and motivation for a more minimal wardrobe. if i have too many clothes, it's so much harder to get the cost per wear down!

The cost-per-wear is such an interesting concept. It really puts into perspective the effect of your wardrobe on your ability to build wealth. Special occasion wear certainly is an interesting thing to consider, and I guess one option to reduce that cost per wear is to find more special occasions, which is a fun challenge. I'm excited to explore more of your channel Nara, I love finding people that share the passion for mindful living. Subscriber #502, keep up the great work!

My best, lowest CPW items are: leather footwear, leggings, long-sleeved white cotton t-shirts, button-front shirts, and knit dresses and some of my midi skirts. I’ve worn my Dior wool coat for over 30 years, daily during my corporate years, it was initially expensive, but has the lowest CPW of any item I’ve ever bought. It’s not really in-style, but is so classic that I love and wear it a lot.

This was really inspiring. I will now do some calculations. How many times per year I have a chance to use each type of handbag...and what would be the cost per wear... Also I think with designer bags you could take into account the price you would get if you sold the bag, and cost per wear would be counted from the difference...right?

That's one reason why it is still worth getting designer brand things... Especially the classics. Easier to sell & recoup some money when you're no longer using it.

I never thought of this idea but I love buying good quality second hand so I could resell it afterwards, which means actually I didn't spend much. In general the shitty quality items in Switzerland is not really cheap anyways, so why not buy second hand good quality or wait until discount (also at the same time figure out if it is something I really like) I just like your videos so much I guess I love weirdo hahaha keep up! This is good and help conscious living. Love you Naja you are my new idol.

The lifestyle here in California is so casual that there is no need for special-occasion wear, I’ll just wear a silk skirt, top and “heels” (under 2.5 inches for me). I get a lot of gaff about being dressed up because I prefer dresses and skirts, except from my family, which is used to my preference (it’s based on comfort, not “dressiness”).

You’re great and deserve more subs! Question about your Ganni leopard coat - as I want to buy it after seeing it on you. I know it’s meant to be a little oversize. I think you look a similar dress size to me. Can you confirm your usual dress size and height and which size you bought and whether you think it was the right size? x
@NajaSierra
@NajaSierra 3 жыл бұрын
Thank you very much! I’m usually a 38 (EU size) on top, with shoulders on the even narrower side, but because of my height (I suppose) I ended up sizing up to a 42, because of the cut and the length on the sleeves, which are still on the short side even after sizing up. That’s just part of the design though of course! This makes the shoulders quite big on me, but since they’re not structured they just fall quite nicely on my arms as if it was intended. To put things into perspective this is the only thing I have in a size 42, but then again I do think Gannis things runs a bit small in general. I’m also 180 cm or 5’11” Hope this helps and thanks for watching x
