You said you first had the full exhaust and tune. By any chance do you remember what your numbers were with just that mod pre cam?

It was a mail order tune so no numbers. I wanted to do a dyno session at CSP to get precam numbers, but it didn't work with scheduling.

Lol I know what you mean. The wife gave me the side eye while she watched this. Luckily everything has been my choice and no major issues yet.

Once you start, there's no stopping. I do have a stopping point, but it's still about $8k-13k away lol. Many would think I'm stupid, but I'm not getting rid of the car so I don't care about resale.

It adds up too quick. I nickel and dimed a lot of this car and the big ticket items are still smiling at me lol. I still have 10-12k to go if I want to go that far with it.

Great deal you got indeed. Yes, labor could easily double the performance mod part of this breakdown. The 2nd alternator is definitely a mod I want to do down the road, so persuading the wife will be tricky for sure lol. That's a good idea tactic

Born and raised in South Plainfield. Car is up there right now as my parents have a garage and I don't. Now I'm right by exit 117 on GSP, moving soon but staying in the same area. I run a Corvette Takeover twice a year in Jersey and we're getting close to finalizing a date and location for the spring, then another in the fall. I'll update on here once it's scheduled.

So depending on timing I should be good to go.

Couldn't agree more. Headers woke the car up and made it sound like a Corvette. That was my most favorite until of course the cam lol.

I agree with the rims. I had an idea on what wheels I wanted, but the plastidip was to decide if I wanted black or try something else. After the "experiment" I decided to not do black wheels and went with bronze instead. Love the look now. It's the stock emblem with a precut tint overlay kit on it. If I did it over again, I would just but tint on Amazon and cut it myself for a lot cheaper, but I got the kit during Black Friday so I just went with it. Yes on stock bolts but it still has a few turns left if I remember correctly. I haven't started looking into shades because I enjoy it a lot, but I know once the summer comes it'll be hot. I'll have to look into them. Which do you have and do you like it so far?

@@YellowVette04 I thought I purchased it from Eckler’s but they only show a solid black static cling. I have a black one that is perforated with lot’s of holes that looks great inside and allows just enough sun shine through to enjoy the glass top. The YellowVette looks awesome with the glass top! It's all personal preference. I have a buddy that has one on a black car and he left it. I think it would look good either way. They should have included painting instructions, you need to add something to the paint since the spoiler expands/contracts with temperature.

I never went on the dyno before the mods to get a baseline. Afterwards it's 386 to the wheels. I had it tuned at Complete Street Performance and he said typically a stock base C5 auto on his dyno is right around 300, so about 85hp gain. Again, can't confirm that gain.

Haha love the yellow. CSP's pricing is on their website. The pricing range will depend on the mods. It was $250 to retune bc I was still in the same price range with mods. They had a deal in February last year and that's why the initial tune was only $400, normally cammed cars is 500.

Andrew is a super down to earth dude. Yes, they have 1000+hp builds but he took the time to talk to me about my tune and what he was doing to make the driveability great. Which he admitted was tough with my cam on a stock stall, but again took the time and didn't rush me out the door for a big blower car running meth.
