For many years, about 29, I lived in a US city that was 50% Armenian. Glendale, in Los Angeles. The Armenians had a genius for auto repair. The Mediterranean foods were lovely and Armenians were decent folk. Thanks, I may move there yet.

Cool. ❤these videos. Armenia has never been on my radar, so I watched out of curiosity. Seems like a lovely place. I guess it's kind of off the beaten track and not an obvious destination.

Under $400 a month is actually quite cheap; for a 1 bedroom apartment in an urban area. Also for around $1,000 a month for two people to live; rent included, is pretty cheap.

@vincent4810, Yes, it seems reasonable to me too. However, there is no set cost of living for everyone. The fact that one person can live on a certain amount does not mean that another person can live on that amount. The only way to know what your expenses would be is to go there and pick where you are going to live, eat, drink, and entertain yourself and add it all up. You must do an exploratory visit with your feet on the ground before you will know your cost of living. Thanks for watching and commenting on the video. Dan

At 12:25 - that's a large margin greater than in Miami. In Miami, close to 1% of the population can speak English.

There is some sad history there, but it is good to see that the last few decades have generally been good for Armenians. One fascinating fact is that there are only six true alphabets in common use around the world today. Most writing systems are abjads, abugidas, or logagraphies. But two of the six are Armenian and Georgian. It's nice that you've been to both places now. The countries share a border, but their alphabets look nothing alike!

I feel as if I've been spoiled by you SEA reports. Armenia reminds me of the month I just endured in Puglia, IT. The phrase "Twice the price and half as nice" comes to mind. Compared to SEA the apartments seem old, dark and no pool or gym!!! Who can live like that??? I know, sounds dramatic. Are you missing your life in SEA yet?

Can you explain. 'Immigration asked you what is the plate number of the mini van arrived in'. Didn't you get off a plane, or you took an overland transport into Armenia. And why would you know the plate number?

We took a minivan for about $20 USD from Tbilisi to Yerevan. So no flight number. All of that data is in the report at first link above. I heard the immigration official ask the guy in front of me what the license plate of the minivan was that we came in on. I was surprised to hear that question. So I looked out the window to my right and saw the plate number of the van we came in on. Odd set of circumstances that have never happened before in any of my past land border crossings. Great question.

It looks nice, but I would be worried that Putin might try to invade as part of his effort to rebuild the Soviet Union. Have they joined NATO yet? Might be a smart move on their part.

Georgia is between Armenia and Russia. So don't put down roots and you would have months to move to greener pastures.

I've seen it before. In the first 3 minutes, the videos are showing the same ones that showed one or two minutes ago. That really bugs me. You are repeating the same videos of walking through towns that we just saw. Not very imaginative. I stopped watching. You do that often enough to bug me.
