I bought the FIRST ALERT Smoke and Carbon Monoxide "Voice & Location Alerts" Alarm 2 pack and will do a unboxing and programming video and test demo. Costco restocked on their First Alert Smoke and Carbon Monoxide alarms and heavy duty fire extinguishers. I

Last long term review of First Alert Smoke alarm two pack a couple of years ago: • Replacing First Alert... . This combo Smoke and Carbon Monoxide replaces it.
First Alert "Voice & Location Alerts" alarms amzn.to/3pXXvPc are currently sold in a two pack and on sale. The Voice & Location has programable voice massage for the location of the alarm, and is currently $49 for 2 pack. I will install and make a review video later.
When testing this unit, the voice and alert was not super loud, in fact its not ear piercing loud like the last smoke alarm I used. The alarm sounded like my 2008 Honda Civic horn "MEEEP" which i found hilarious. The voice alert is able to choose between several room names such as bedroom, guest room, etc. You have to set it after you turn it on or by clicking the button 5 times to reset the saved location to reprogram the unit.
My last First Alert smoke alarms lasted for about 2 out of the 10 years so I am hoping I get about 3 years from this unit.

Mine just went off. Silence button just silence it for couple of minutes and will come back even if you put this thing outside. What I noticed is the red LED stay on meaning it will alert again, presence of smoke/CO or not. Stupid thing! What you need to do is keep on pushing and don't release the silence button till the LED goes off. Then you're all set.

mine went off because of a humidifier thus morning. It shook me so much because the alarm sounded like the one from the twin towers when it went off.

Does it come with a pillow to put over the detector so you can't hear the voice at all? Who is going to hear it when they are asleep?

Trust me you’ll hear it. It does the loud beeps before talking and it’ll scare the hell outta you

i hate this thing! the mounting holes are ridiculous. My test button does not work, i pressed it until the plastic broke still nothing. 9 times out of 10 i have good luck buying from Costco, i guess this is the one in ten. Thanks for the video maybe i got a bad one.

Worst alarm I ever had. Have 7 of them and they are always going off. Had to get most replaced. Started going off after a few months.

DO NOT BUY THIS! This alarm is a huge waste of money. Mine went off while I was cooking bacon. After fanning and fanning it, it still wouldn't stop. I pressed and held the silence alarm button and put it outside on the porch. An hour later it started going off again for smoke. I pushed silence again and after another hour in fresh air it still started going off again for smoke. I had to use the disable switch to stop it and now its useless. This is the only smoke alarm I've ever had any trouble with. Don't waste your money on this junk.
