I think my favorite part of the inflatable Figment is that the harshell suitcase seems to be part of the costume, so not only do you have to meet Figment with him squatting on a suitcase, but he was probably hard to move too.

We need to start a petition for Dan to become the next Dreamfinder! He’d be perfect for the role, like he said!

I have been waiting for this moment ever since they released footage of the new costume at D23. I'm here for that lovable purple dragon and his bush! For the record, I agree with the statement that peeps remember Dreamfinger and Figment so strongly due to how unique the experience was. Fun as meeting Mickey and Goofy is, it's not like you can have a full blown conversation with'm. It's the same reason I think folks love Jack and Sally when they're around for Halloween or the Grinch during Christmas (please do his evolution next, pretty please). Heck, Ron Schneider himself stated in his book that he didn't want Dreamfinder to be another photo-op, he wanted the character to be truly alive interacting with fans. Thank goodness he maintained that mindset otherwise we wouldn't have the hilarious story of some poor kid mistaking him for Jesus. XD

The perfect example of the one little spark of great joy and imagination! Figment is such an amazing little guy and I loved seeing how he came to be!

Figment is that one character that even I love so much! He is such an adorable little dragon with such a creative personality! Eversince I heard about him, my heart melted. I'm so happy to see this little purple dragon get the love it needs! But we just need the return of The Dreamfinder! We need a Reunion!

Visiting the Imagination pavilion at EPCOT in 1991, was the highlight of our whole first trip to Orlando from the UK. Experiencing the original ride, playing in the interactive Image Works and actually meeting Dreamfinder and Figment outside the glass pyramids by the pavilion sign, are still vivid memories I treasure. Looking back now, I realise just how lucky I was to experience the Imagination pavilion at that point in it's history ❤

I honestly used to think that Figment was pretty annoying when I was a kid, but it was thanks to this channel specifically that I grew to appreciate him and his history.

At 10:28 you know what Dan, you are probably right about that. Figment got taller than Barney which is almost like a costume made of sandpaper or fabric.

I went on the soulless 1999 ride and it was genuinely tragic. My mom bought me the very last Figment plush they had in the store (on SALE to be discontinued) and I cried happy tears. It was the last vestige of the ride I loved as a little kid.

I love the recent version of Figment for EPCOT. Like you said, Dan, he looks like the exact same cartoon Figment especially in that ride AND HE DOES SO BY LOOKING EXACTLY ONE WHOLE PIECE!!! Even the choice of having his limbs one piece each and having his mouth opened up for a happier look was a brilliant idea BEYOND imagination. IT WAS SIMPLY FIGMENT FOR SURE!!! Also I believe that you would make a WONDERFUL Dreamfinder, Dan, and you have the expression, the energy, AND the heart to be the best portrayal for any version of Dreamfinder.

Figment is great! He reminds me of Elliot from Pete’s Dragon. Maybe they’re related.

I clicked so fast!! The ride deserves justice and needs an update so bad with updated technology. Hopefully one day I can meet him! He's so precious and will always be my favorite! I have the weighted plushie of him and it comforts me so much

Disney needs to make a show with Figment

Even though I didn't grow up with Figment [not only am I a 2000s kid, but Disney World is also rather far], my mom told me so many stories about how fun EPCOT was, and she even met Figment and Dreamfinder! I'll have to show her this video, she'll love it! Also, I'm glad they changed the name from Marvel to Dreamfinder, because the sadly defunct Houston Six Flags location had a similar character named Marvel Mcfey from 1972 to 1984. Instead of a dragon though, Marvel Mcfey had a whole cast of animals, with my personal favorites being the baseball player lion Lester, and the flower skunk Samantha. Rolly Crump, also known for his Disney and Knott's Bear-y Tales work, designed the Marvel Mcfey characters based on Micki McClelland's original concepts. This is just the Houston Six Flags location, the Six Flags chain in general has a HUGE rabbit whole of pre-Looney Tunes mascots, each of them very unique!

Figment was my all time favorite Character at Disney, well Epcot, when I was a kid. I rode the original ride at least 50 times. I remember when I was 9 my parents bought me a Figment Plush back in 1984. I took Figment with me everywhere and he was my best buddy. I was a quiet and shy kid, so I did not have many friends back then. Flash Forward to today and I still love Figment. I came out of my shell and am totally opposite of that kid. I have lots of friends. Figment helped me with this, because with imagination you can do anything, go anywhere, be anything. And I followed my dreams with being an professional entertainer in the mascot and character field. Thank you Figment for not giving up on me.

The first time I ever went to Disneyworld at 12 years old, my Grandma came with, and we were near the dancing fountains playing. Out of nowhere fuzzy teddy bear style Figment came out of a side door to the imagination pavilion and we practically had a private meet and greet with him. He gave my Grandma a kiss on her forehead (she was in a wheelchair) and we got a picture~ she was smiling so big. Was one of my most cherished memories of Disney! (Best part was we hadn't ridden the ride yet, so we had absolutely no idea who this dragon was haha)

I asked one of my social workers to get me a figment plushie when she went on her family vacation to Disney world and I can’t wait to go on incredible adventures with him! I fell in love with his adorable personality the first time I went to Epcot. He’s so cute!

My favorite meeting with Dreamfinder & Figment was when I was in my early 20s. My younger sis told Figment I wanted to go on a date with him. Figment opened his mouth wide (like the Muppets), looked at Dreamfinder & nodded excitedly. Best. Meeting. Ever. ❤ I’m so glad Figment is back, and dream of the day Dreamfinder will join him again. No matter what happens, tho, the ride can never be as amazing as it’s original rendition. Heavy sigh.

Journey To Imagination w/ Figment was a family-favorited attraction at Epcot for 4 decades!

I love figment and the original ride so much. I only rode the original once and then imagine (ha) my confusion when I returned to EPCOT and it was freaking Nigel Channing.

The first time I went to Disney World was in 1995 when I was a kid, and I remember meeting Dreamfinder and Figment. At the time, I thought Dreamfinder was some sort of wizard.

I know if I go digging, I have a video of when we had a chance to meet the walk around Dreamfinder and Figment. It was almost 30 years ago. (Yikes) It was really sweet to watch Dreamfinder asking my little cousin about where we were from (Massachusetts) and he told her how figment and himself spent a whole year on the Cape in one day, just going around the rotary. (Those from this area will understand) 😉 I truly miss the original Imagination Pavilion.

Honestly Figment reminds me so much of my favorite dragon, Spyro.

They need to bring back the Dreamfinder!! Not even revamp the ride at least bring him back to the park for festivals #bringbackthedreamfinder

I love what you do

I was in the 8 hour bucket line. They were so unprepared for the crowds. It took me 15 minutes to find the end of the line. They kept selling the buckets out of the food stand using only 2-3 cash registers. I still have my 2. They brought it back the next year and it never sold out. I think they probably still have hundreds of them in a warehouse. It was the same bucket with a different neck band. They better not bring it back for a 3rd time.

I was at that first weekend of Festival Arts and my sister and I wanted one of those fancy grilled cheese sandwiches! But we didn’t want to wait in line that long. We went to EPCOT another day for early park guests opening and my sister got the popcorn bucket quickly but the kitchen wasn’t open yet so we weren’t able to the sandwiches. We’re still salty about all of this. 😢

My fiancé is Ron Schneider, the original Dreamfinder. I don’t know if he has seen your video, but I will share it either way him. He always gets a just knout of seeing “Figzilla”!
