8 ай бұрынIt's a journey through time and history! Join us for a 4K dashcam experience as we document COTMA's visit to Auckland in 2023, their first return to the city since 1984. The four-day conference was a tramway lover's dream, featuring visits to MOTAT's off-site storage, MOTAT's Western Springs Tramway, and the Dockline Tramway and workshop. Enjoy two captivating dashcams, one from Melbourne tram No. 906's dash and the other from the roof of Wellington tram No. 47.

Why need three tracks under the tram?

It's because the tramway here is dual guage. The Auckland and Australian (Melbourne) trams are wider than the other trams, so they use the outer rails, and the narrower trams from Wellington use the inner rail. I'm glad that there is only two sizes otherwise it'd be a lot more complicated! As you can imagine, this causes a problem at the points, and is possibly a video I could make in the future.
