Just bought one and love it. Going to install all the goodies on it soon. Have you ever heard of oiling a foam filter with bar oil?

I recommend leaving the filter stock and here is why- those foam filters that u use oil on, will make the fiber stick to the filters like crazy. U will end up having to brush it off too often. That oil and saw dust fibers just don’t mix.

Is that a plastic handle? If so, I can’t believe they wouldn’t have a metal with rubber grip come standard @stihl. Great video!!

I have a new one of those saws run it just 1 hour so its still new,love it all I can say is it loves wood.Would you care to share your oil formula? I started using Lucas semi synthetic 40:1

I've followed you on Instagram for probably 2 years or more now. Got my stihl 362. And now I wanna do this. Do you have a service video up that you like to do on the regular? Probably should do a better job on maintance. A 200 top handle is in my dreams next haha

Do you have to put a higher output oilier on your 400's? Ive seen a lot of guys say it wont oil a 25"+ bar with the stock oiler.

I have 3 of the 400’s and I haven’t changed the oiler an any of them.

I would have thought the exhaust would be facing the opposite of how you installed yours. Seems your pushiong all the hot gasses back on the saw, chain and bar.

That 400 is fine the way it is,but could do with a bit more oil on a 20inch bar

@@gunterbecker8528the oiler from an ms461 will fit it and will oil up to a 32" bar just fine. You can also buy a pump rebuild kit for a 461 and swap out the parts with your oem 400 parts for about half the price
