Cool video, now you're getting into the stuff I work on and fabricate parts for.Jaw crushers aren't too bad maintenance.20 odd years ago I used to work for a company that ran roller crushers, those are used to reduce the small stuff down to grit. The rollers had to be built up and trued several times a month. The saying used to be "crush all day and weld all night".

ran one these before they're pretty slick it was a Terex model with no screening system, just the crusher.. they can really pump the rebar and concrete something fierce all day long, had a few issues with it though, liked to turn itself off sometimes and steel plates and rebar would sometimes stop the magnet causing a pile up AKA a big mess.... but they're really user friendly, if you overload a belt, it'll shut down, jaw belt slips, it'll shut down, self feeding system, these crushing units are impressive concrete recyclers, the upkeep isn't to bad actually you run and run and run without any issues most days, its designed to go and go .. each jaw wear plate can go, what 2000 hours? maybe longer, they are super good crushers best in class You can expect maybe, 1 dollar, 1.50$ per ton going through the crusher alone in costs, really efficient unit for keeping costs down EDIT, dunno if it will be seen now, but welding a plate over the grizzly's in the jaw just the one upper section of the feeder, will help get some more fine material going through the screener, and less off the side belt, just a suggestion, take care all

Excellent tour of the Powerscreen crushers and screeners. The jaw crusher-simple,robust less moving parts than other heavy rock crushers.Screw compressor-delt with one in a building I worked at downtown Wash DC-glad I am away from there now.The building engineer asked me to help him repair one of the Quincy 60Hp 480V 3Ph building air compressors. Two buildings on the air system-each place had two compressors-for gen building air.I installed the unloader relay for him-normally I repair maintain broadcast studio gear-but radiomen have to prepare to work on ANYTHING that comes by.The unloader in this compressor was a simple solenoid activated flap that covered the air intake when the compressor starts. When the machine started in the loaded condition it tripped its breaker. After the fix-was fine-engineer happy I had something else to do-quiet mid shift.Doco-ed what I did and it was OK.

We used the same type of self cleaning magnets on the conveyor leaving the bark and fuel chip dump at the mill. You should see the metal that comes in from sawmill dust trailers. Everything that breaks or falls in a sawmill ends up in the vibrating conveyor and in the dust trailer.

Those machines are cool. I saw a crusher kinda like that one at a gemstone mine. I think they should put hooks on top of those little skid steers, so they can just grab them with that bucket with the thumb, and pick it up and put it wherever they want. lol.

That crushing equipment is 'high maintenance' and requires a lot of support machines/equipment. Very hard to be competitive in an open market....I tried it and I wasn't successful! For loggers I had 1.75" to 6" clean rock I mined from the ground. It appears M&M has created a 'niche business'! Thanks for an entertaining video.
