Lisa! I don't know if you realize this, but the bricks used to make your cute little front patio/porch area are stamped "Lacledes Landing." This is the original riverfront area of St. Louis, and these bricks were used to pave streets. I'm originally from the metro-east St. Louis area, and this little detail brought me so much joy! I am so happy to see these repurposed so lovingly.

That blue is the perfect cottage blue. I love the door and gable. You charmed that little cottage right up! The brick was a heck of a find -- I love how that turned out too. So cute!

It’s simply precious. The single nod to modernity with the log holder, the shape of which echoes the pitch of the roof and awning, is perfect. And you’re so right about the scarcities of builders who can execute your vision or even take on a smaller project, they’re keepers!

I LOVE your cottage makeover! It’s so beautiful and cozy with the Victorian accents. I think the awning makes the color pop even more. The bricks are amazing too! Love it all!

I love how you redid the front of the cottage. Old homes and buildings seem to come with their quirks, like the off centre door. I think you did a great job of making it all work.

Who else thinks if there was a kitchenette...I could live in a cottage exactly like this! And if this one were mine Lisa, I would get the builder to build a "window" like the one (or larger) by the front door and use mirror instead of glass. Trim out as you did on the other windows. I have loved this video today...thank you!

It’s Absolutely adorable! I like the offset door. It actually lends itself to so many more opportunities. The idea of a Trellis with roses and the small garden in front is perfect, after all it is a cottage and should have a garden. 😊 Enjoy 💕🙏

I LOVE how you did the cottage house. I keep having flashbacks from my childhood when I would go two houses down to my best friends house and we'd play in her playhouse that her grandpa built her. It's like you brought that building to life. I enjoyed hearing your ideas and visions and how you came about with coming up with those. I dont know if the black outside light idea goes along with other lights on your property, but I think it would be more blended with all the beautiful details of the entrance if it was painted white instead of black. It's such a beautiful peace of history for your land that you gave back life to.. and I love the way the shingles look on it. It gives it a more cozy house home feel to it, as apposed to a tin roof that would've given it a different vibe,maybe... Just love it. If you ever do a BnB to rent it or a lil Air BnB, I definitely want to be on that list. Lol

Looks wonderful. I’ve been enjoying your vlogs and doing a lot more from scratch cooking. I have five kids and one on the way (30 weeks). My oldest three kids (9,9, and 10) were adopted from foster care and have intellectual and emotional special needs and my youngest two are four and two. I homeschool and was wondering how on earth you cook from scratch, homeschool, and clean up in one morning and afternoon. I watched and old video and saw your husband is home to help you. That made me feel so much better about not getting as much done when I’m alone all day. Thank you so much for your cooking videos.

I was very surprised you see this cottage before you see your home- that you see it when you drive up your driveway! On the left side maybe create a more curvy plant area coming out from the building and place the bistro table there. Extend the curve slightly around corner.

To balance add a small window at top left side near roof or hang closed shutter to appear there is a window behind. Paint white.

In this transformation it’s become vividly clear to me that you have a discriminating eye and perhaps your design ability motivates you more than I ever knew.
